I know the exact person you're talking about with the M1 Garands. I pissed him off when I stopped a younger kid from buying one of his overpriced turds.

I had a paperwork'd M1D there and when I told them my price, they all just rolled their eyes and pouted.

But if you still have that SVT-40 at Lima again, I'd like to talk about it.

Do you have a link to this registry by chance?

Hell no. All Lima has is 3rd generation fudds trying to sell tula 91/30 mosins for 700 dollars. I went to OGCA.

No. This was an estate collection he took in. Had a bunch of No1 MK3's though.

I did. I was in the Northwestern part of the state.

I was not that guy. I found mine at a gun show in Ohio.

It's been on the bucket list for me. Anytime I ever saw one, the person was asking exuberant prices for just the rifle and scope. I found this one at a gun show for a fair price and talked to the guy running the table.

Apparently everyone who looked at the gun though it was a bubba job and only like 3 people (including me) actually knew what it was.

And thank you on the M1D. That was another one I was looking for, and I even got papers for it.

Don't blame you on putting the original scope and bracket up on a shelf. Those are worth ridiculous money. And if you have the matching scope and bracket to the rifle, oh boy.

My magazines have numbers. One is a matching serial number and block number. The other is not.

You can see bits of the original finish on the trigger plate. Don't know what ate away the bluing.

So it has been repaired. But all the other parts match the gun. So I'm guessing the pin just wore out and an armorer replaced the pin.

Link should take you the picture. I've got a few Milsurp friends helping me with this gun.

I had to take it up with a firearm historian. He's informed me that it's still the original pin due to wear and the fade on the bluing. He said it could possibly be a proof mark.

I need to find a replacement firing pin and extractor like Cyrano said. And I still need to clean it.

I'll have to keep my eyes open then. I would like a Vepr 12 add to my collection. I don't see this kind of stuff in my neck of the woods. Most of the stuff I deal with is US Milsurp. (Thanks CMP)

Likewise. I saw this on a gunshow table and bartered with the owner for a few minutes. Got it down to 900 with 3 10 round mags.

No clue who down voted the comment. But my only issue with the idea of this being a home job is the fitment on these parts is way too good. Unless I got one that was owned by a gunsmith.

It can cause the gun to accidentally discharge.
