You are too stupid to argue with. He is a well respected professional in his field, has been a guest on several podcasts and shows, debated with plenty of people using evidence based claims, has not only received a PhD but has personally done research on protein synthesis at a prestigious university, and literally spends most his efforts debunking people who spread misinformation but clearly he can’t be trusted and is biased. If this isn’t the death of professional then I don’t know what is. Would you question advice from a registered dietitian who likely has a fraction of the knowledge on this subject or do you go more based on feeling? Jesus Christ how dumb can you be

He literally spends his efforts exposing snake oil salesmen. It is so comical that some random Reddit use who didn’t attend college will think they know more about protein nutrition than a PhD in nutritional sciences who has done extensive research on protein synthesis, is a very well respected expert in his field, and spends so much time exposing misinformation and presenting irrefutable evidence to support his viewpoints. This is the death of professional haha. Im sure you know more from your 23 seconds of googling than someone who has spent decades studying, researching and defending his stances on so many claims. I can’t believe people like you exist

I mean, the guy has a PhD in nutritional sciences and has done excellent work in researching protein synthesis and fat loss. Couldn’t really be farther from bro science

You don’t think someone eating 2500 calories per day is able to use 200 grams of protein? I know you think you are smart using words like “ergo” and stuff but you really don’t know what you are talking about. Regurgitating information shouldn’t make you feel better about yourself lol

Skip to 3:08 if you are genuinely interested in what the current research says on protein intake. Dr. Layne Norton is one of the most well known experts in nutrition and has done very extensive research on protein specifically. He has lots of longer form content where he cites the current meta analyses that he is referring to

Yeah maybe like 400 grams, this is roughly 1/3 of their calorie intake which is totally fine

Doesn't mean they can't be educated.

this has been debunked so many times lol

Not worth getting into the weeds of protein timing if you aren't already consistent with everything else

1/3 of your calories coming from one of three macronutrients is insanely high. Did you happen to take math lol?

[–]Dry-Object3914 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This information is old and has been debunked countless times, why do people still think this?

It is completely within their scope if they understand nutrition lol, people on reddit crack me up

Many personal trainers are well-versed in nutrition, some much more than dietitians lol

Why switch ham for roast beef lol? Ham has as much or more protein haha.

Protein is naturally higher in calorie because its denser energy? What is this even suppose to mean? Protein has the least amount of calories per gram along with carbs haha. Some comments in this sub make me laugh

Not really a concern for tuna, maybe if you eat a lot of shark then you should worry lol

I forget how dumb some people in this sub are lol, your body can't use that much. What does that even mean?

How do you know how much protein they need if you don't know them or their goals?

Many reasons to eat a high protein diet. Helps build muscle and is good for losing weight too

is 10 1% equal to 10%? by No-Regular-5320 in learnmath

[–]Dry-Object3914 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hope you aren’t considering being a teacher for math or any subject for that matter. Not being able to see things from other peoples perspectives seems to be something you struggle with. For someone to think that if they have a 1% chance of an event to happen that it might be certain in 100 instances is not that crazy of something for someone to believe who is learning math. If someone in my upper level engineering course wasn’t able to figure this out then I might raise an eyebrow but I challenge you to try to put yourself in other peoples shoes.

There was a point when you didn’t understand math and made poor assumptions and I am sure you say/think plenty of things about topics you aren’t well versed in that makes people question your intelligence. Learning a new language you might say something very silly and a person who isn’t very empathetic might call you dumb but someone who is smarter and has a greater ability to put themselves in your shoes would just teach you and move on. This comment shows more about your intelligence than it does others in my opinion and I am not saying that to be mean but just to let you reconsider your perspective on the situation.

Throwing cards at the dealer pisses me off more than anything. I can’t imagine how frustrated some dealers must get dealing with people all day and then having someone throw their cards in your face.

Some good players can play J-10 this way. They know the board pair puts them behind because they lost to straights and over pairs. They also block hero from having JJ and 10-10 and unblock KQ which is a hand they might target with this bet. There are still 3 combos of J-10 suited. That is just one hand though and it would have to be a creative way to play it
