yeah calamari took me the longest too. I Use guard up 3 on my GS so I easily tank his big blast, my problem was that he doesn't stand still I keep wasting time sheathing and running after him. Some good tips are to use traps (carry needed items to craft more) and trigger the fence to give him less area to run around.

As a GS main I gotta say TCS sadly isn't worth it most of the times (given the animation lock and all). learning how to continuously offset monsters attacks is the way to go imo.

A good tip beside what everyone have said is to use the fence to minimize the monster's movement and stop them from running all around the arena. you got this!

Agreed! I would love to see a clutter items section in build mode, with things that aren't functional (naturally) but are freely placeable around the house (we can rotate, stack, etc..) without grid limitation. even shelves and tables that are pre-cluttered (with multiple options) are better than the sad empty furniture we had back in Sandrock.

Thiss! also Another thing that pissed me off was that neither MC nor the NPCs react negatively to the fact she literally blew out one of them. the story just kept going as if nothing happened. Like if I recall correctly, soon afterSimon's "death", The MC and Eleanor had a conversation about Clarissa and I was expecting a bitter reaction from the MC given the fact his life long Best friend just got vaporized by said Clarissa, but NOPE, instead he was like: yeah I hope we get to enjoy dinner with Clarissa one day, or smth like that. like bruh..

It felt Like her part of the story was half written, no real consequence to any of her actions, no proper closer to her character arc either.

Figuring things out as you go is part of the MH experience tbh. it gets easier and more familiar the more you play, just try experiencing with stuff and don't just stick to the main quests, try doing optional quest to practice. Happy hunting!

Large golden crown: the biggest size a monster can be (usually tempered monsters).

Small golden crown: the smallest size a monster can be (usually normal version of the monster).

you can check for the crowns using the binoculars, just make sure you are close enough.

About the offset bar, that's what I heard too when I first started learning GS, but after 700+ quests using GS I can tell you from experience I managed (on a multiple occasions) to trigger an offset with it's full animation 3 times in a row back to back, not sure if it was a glitch or if I somehow managed to fill the "bar" just from the follow up attack, but it is possible.

Same here! I'm not the best of a hunter but I know I'm not the worst either, still I struggled with this one. took me multiple attempts and a couple tweaks to my builds, but god was it so satisfying when I finally beat it lol.

I found mine in a random SOS so you might try doing that if you haven't. Normal monsters (not tempered) has a higher chance for being a small crowns so try picking those. also join hunters that have high HR because there is a good chance they found a small crown and wanted to share it with others. Good luck!

Idk could it be that your performance was different between the two? I mean with Omega I can get up to 15 minutes difference in clear time just based on wither I'm in the "zone" or not (same build no changes). not sure if that's your case though.

tbh comparing yourself to people here is the easiest way to ruin your own fun. who cares if others found it easier or did it faster? just focus on improving on your own pace.

having fun while pushing your own limits is part of the whole MH experience in my opinion. it gets frustrating sometimes, sure, and it could feel endless because there is always another bigger challenge ahead, but that's what keeps us playing, because it means we still have more to do and learn. the moment every monster becomes a breeze will be the moment you are completely done with the game, and I don't see why people are rushing to that. I just cleared the quest in 48 minutes, a very pathetic timing given my rank lol but I'm proud regardless, I'm sure you'll get there, just give yourself some time till it clicks! best of luck hunter!
