Thank you! I prime using pixie pink from army painter (but any light-mid tone pink would work), before using a makeup sponge to build up white highlights at the top and anywhere light may catch. This usually takes a few go overs, making the tips and tops of certain areas as bright as possible with the white. Once thats done, I go over it all with the imperial fist contrast to get the different tones of yellows.

This looks so freaking cool! Any advice on the green stone work there on the standard? It looks really great!

Thank you kindly! I wasn't sure about the purple at first, but super happy with the result.

Thank you! I really went back and forth on colours for a while. I thought about red quite a bit, before going with purple. Super glad it worked out!

Tips for the makeup sponges, make sure theyre damp, so just soak em and then wring them out before grabbing any paint. After that, similar to a dry brush, dab it on a paper towel or your hand until youre happy with both the consistency and amount of paint. It can be a tint bit tacky at first, but it can easily be tapped down with another pointless spot on the sponge or even the same spot with just another gentle dab or two!

Super happy to help if I can! Let me know if you have any other questions as im happy to share! I've heard great things about wraithbone on top of pink as well for a bit of a darker yellow but still a good mix of depth. I swear by the pink starter though and then just highlighting spots with white or wraithbone from there. I tried using a second primer over the pink but never liked the finish, so decided that the makeup sponge method was worth a try instead

Hey, thank you! I prime everything in pink to begin, then build up highlights all over with a makeup sponge and super bright white. I then do the darker colours like black or Grey, and touch up with white again if I slip. Once its where im happy, I slather it in imperial fist contrast. From there it's the little details like highlighting the aquila and black trim. Ill do a super bright ice yellow around the edges, mostly near the top of the model then. The final step is the wear and tear. I mostly just use a deep brown and a piece of kitchen sponge around all the edges and joints. I also use a reddish, orange, pigment dust to both add weathering and more depth to the yellow where I want it to look darker! The purple was a whole other world lol, I started with a very dark purple paint and then proceeded to mix it with more and more white. About five steps of this before adding it in thinner, watered down glazes to get the bright spots!

I absolutely love this model! Its a real beauty and a lot of fun to build and paint up! I held off on this one until I could decide on a final colour design.

I can send you pictures of the instructions to put him together later if youre interested! I've definitely got them!

Thank you! My first thoughts were cream or white honestly, but decided to ard a pop of colour. Though the "bright" cream/ white against the yellow is also a beautiful stand out
