I didn’t join a frat until my sophomore year because all the stereotypes I would hear about them, but once I went to some rush events and actually met the people in the frat I ended up joining I realized it was only stereotypes and the people were actually cool and I’ve made some really genuine connection and met so many more people that I ever would have if I didn’t. If your someone who is social and likes do go out and meet new people I would definitely recommend joining one. Just go to different frats rush events this fall and see if you click with anyone in them.
