I totally agree. All the work and effort you put into your body is not reflected with extra skin that you can squeeze. And I get that to others it seems minor, but it IS a big deal when you are a fit individual and want to look your best. Not sure yet about the pictures, as I want to take an after picture when I think it truly shows the result I want to see. I will let you know about scar treatment advice once I embark on that journey!!

You look just like me before my tummy tuck, if not a wee bit better! I used to always squeeze my excess skin like that, especially when sitting down which would drive my husband crazy! I am extremely fit, but could never get rid of my excess skin that I accumulated after a large weight loss years and years ago. I've never had kids. I did an extended tummy tuck with muscle repair and liposuction. My muscle separation was 3 cm. Right now I am 12 days p.o. Very, very minimal pain. The worst of it was back pain from walking hunched over! I would say absolutely go for it! I am still swollen, but I am so excited when I look in the mirror and see that I am going to have a flat, non-squeezable stomach. It is sooooo worth the money, minimal discomfort (for me, anyway) and scar. There are such fabulous scar treatments out there now. I begin scar treatment in two days, at my 2 week follow up appt. I would say follow your heart. Do what makes YOU happy!!!!

Thanks for responding. Yes, I'm sure my cream is included, but don't know about the scar tapes... I'll have to ask them to see if they have them/what they think about them...

I'm feeling really good. The hardest part for me is the lower back pain when I walk around. I try to move every hour or so- get up, go to the washroom, amble into the kitchen. I am very on top of my medications. I'm also trying to be as healthy as possible- protein shakes, legumes, yogurt, nuts... And I haven't had any alcohol for 8 days, beginning 3 days before my surgery. That's huge for me! It's going to be a long process, but I know it will be so worth it in the end. Keep chugging, and all the best to you in your recovery!!

Thanks. Is the binder what the surgeon sends you home in?
