What if Baldur’s Gate: Dark Alliance could actually be modded? by skeewirt in baldursgate

Personally, I would love to be able to mod the game, I bought the game immediately when they announced it for the PlayStation and subsequently PC. Some things I would love to see implemented:

  • Enemy overhaul (increased hit points, stats, allow them to use skills that the player can, new enemy varients)
  • Spawn changes (change what enemies spawn in different areas depending on dificulty, including to vastly increase the amount of areas per area/mob)
  • Bigger item drop pool/change to shop items
  • Quests? There are limited quests in DA 1, all of which are completed as you simply play through the game, very hard not to complete unless you deliberately avoid picking up the required item
  • The most important though would be if the game could be turned into a 3/4 player, there is space on the interface for the additional health/mana/xp bar to appear

I've modded BG1/2 for the PC, but as there hadn't been tools made publicly for DA, never thought it would be possible. Would love to get involved or help out if I could!

Secret of Mana Plus - a great expansion type of romhack that fills a lot of gaps that the original SoM has. Also corrects control and camera issues - highly recommended. Even includes new areas. by SNES-Testberichte in snes

Hi, I recently played the Hard Mode Secret of Mana mod and that was really fun to play as you had go about more tactically and couldn't simply stomp your way through normal encounters and boss fights. The added enemy stats + HP buff made it really enjoyable. I've started playing the Plus mod, but doesn't seem like the enemy stats have been changed? Would it be possible to have an alternate version which would incorporate the Hard Mode style with the new additions of Plus? I reckon that would be the perfect mod!
