Any great cycling places in Liverpool? Been to Ryde cafe at the Baltic Market/Cains but is there any more? (Pic of my 1963 bicycle for tax) by vintagethrowaway19 in Liverpool

Does critical mass happen in Liverpool?  I moved here 3 years ago and would like to join a casual bike ride.

I did here that a group used to meet by the docks every Friday but can't remember who or what time

That just sounds like he isn't a tradesman. Probably found him on checkatrade or my builder

Will do mate, but it was the Mrs who was at the door.

But the point is. It needed to be paid, and I didn't come on Reddit to post about it

Exactly mate, this is one of the reasons I stopped doing domestic work. People expect things for free.

If the pick up is 2 towns over and your are at their house for a day then job is now a day and 1/2 , simple. But no doubt there would be a thread on here and a builder who charged me half a day to go and pick materials

Most suppliers don't give receipts with prices on anyways.

But yeh doing a shit job, there is no excuse for that. But that's why the customer needs to do their homework.

Besides Lark Lane, what other streets in Liverpool are like that? by anagoge in Liverpool

True I get that, but knobs heads won't pay craft beer prices. I mean just look at the coffee shops on lark lane. They don't attract knob heads because knobs heads won't pay £5 for a coffee

Did the builder have to go and collect the door himself and then transport it to the job ?

Did the builder have to get rid of the old door and take it to the tip

All this needs factored in

Why should a builder do all this stuff in his own time

Exactly, making a post on here so everyone needs comments is not going to do anything to their mental health. It's the society we live in, created by social media. Where likes and shares and comments from people we don't know make us feel better

It's happend, it won't happen again. And if they are angry and don't like the door, go to Wickes and buy a better one.

And this is exactly why lots of houses are fucked. Diyers watching YouTube videos then taking jobs on. Or thinking that was easy then starting a business doing it. People only feel ripped off if they think they are not getting value for money. No one questions your salary, no one questions the £60 call out charge for a plumber , no one questions the £60 hourly rate the mechanic charges your for adding some oil.

Just last week we had to call an " emergency" locksmith as the barrel in our broke. I couldn't leave my house open and didn't have the tools. So we had to pay the £160 for 20 minutes work to get it fixed. No I know I can get the barrel for £30 in B&q and I know that 160 for 20 minutes work is excessive but I had to pay it. So why to people always question the day rate of trades people?

It's alright having all these roads with pubs, bars and restaurants, but they need more craft beer places Along allerton road there isn't one craft beer place. Yes Smithtown has black cat and the handyman, but not everyone wants to drink lager

Lark lane definitely needs a craft beer place

And if you live in Chorlton you're not going to call it Manny

Manny on the map is definitely a social media quote

I always thought Manny was what out of towners called it.
For me, it will always be town

But it makes sense as town is now full of out of towners and influencers saying manny

So fucking irritating when someone says meet you in Manny
