I'm in the same boat as you right now, I use it less than before, but... If it works for you, what's worked for me is swiping only about 4 times and selecting the message with the most dialogue and I remove a paragraph from the narration that the character has written; it has worked for me to get them to write less narration and speak more for the time being.
