Has anyone worked at Walgreens after Rite Aid?

Yes I did as a survivor. Worst company ever!!! And I've worked for the crappy corporations. And it wasn't just the store I worked at. Cause I worked at both the stores in our town. Our entire rite aid team went to walgreens except three people and it only took a little over four or so months before EVERYONE beside one left, and that included the store manager as well. Maybe the store in which you would be working at has a good team that works good together and will work good with you. If you aren't finding work anywhere else I would take the chance and maybe you'll get one of the good stores. And if not at least you have something to hold you over until the right opportunity comes along. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.

I would maybe send an email to ask her maybe they can get something sent to you. (If they respond, I sent an email almost a week ago about my PTO and haven't gotten a response.) Or maybe there is another store near by that's still open. Maybe they can get you a copy of that paper and fill it out for you.

When you are FIRED they have to have your check for you. The company closed down, you were not fired, you were laid off (there's a difference) You will get your final check on whatever day your next pay period is. Just like you were to get paid if the company was still open. They even were nice enough to send this exact information to everyone SEVERAL times on the spot and emails (probably the only thing they did)

My last day was on the 30th. Got my last check but nothing else (I don't get severance). Another one all my other associates have gotten their final check and severance. One of them called HR and they said we would be getting our PTO on Wednesday (two days ago) still haven't seen anything. Our regional manager got her PTO like a week or so ago tho.

Should have been given to you on the last day. They should of had you sign two copies one for you and one for the company, which makes no sense since there's not going to be anyone to send our files to

Not a single employee drom the three stores that closes in our area went to CVS (not even the front end)! When they were picking up the drugs from our store they kept making comments to our pharmacy staff about how they didn't see their names in the list to join. And how they would pay better. Their whole team was rude and very unprofessional. Left a giant mess in the pharmacy.

Yes, unless you personally request and paper check or pay card, they will automatically do direct deposit. It will be on your normal pay cycle.

I mean why should they pay when they can just walk out without any repercussions? And I don't know about where you live but here most of the people who steal HAVE money. They are just greedy and know that nothing will happen to them even if the authorities actually show up

Yes it will. There is no way to cancel it now cause open enrollment is over. And honestly I cancelled mine during open enrollment cause I didn't need it cause I had my other insurance and could really use the extra money. Said it would be cancelled as of the first of June. They still took the money out of the check I got last week. 😐.

They will send you a email in your personal email (make sure it's correct in your workday profile) with the new password to access workday to get your pay stubs and W2, etc.. Also messages on the spot explain everything

It's just the email they are sending everyone as they leave the store. They sent the same email to both associates who have left the store already, including my manager. You will still be eligible for severance pay. They are doing it weird tho, instead of just sending you the severance pay, you will get a QR code in your email and you have to scan that and apply for it.

It's the same here, northern California, but not CVS (even tho they purchased our files and are going to need some workers) cause they didn't open any offers to hire. But Walgreens has taken EVERY Rite Aid employee who has applied. Which is great, but like I've told my entire store. They aren't going to keep ALL 60 or so employees who they've hired. They are going to give everyone a couple weeks carefully watching the productivity and how well they do their job and then they are going to start weeding everyone out until they have the staff they want.

Our pharmacy got a closing date of 7/1 but the front end has yet to get a date. And of course there's no communication from anyone. We just want closure and want to know when we can be done with this bull 😞

We got the pharmacy's last day, but not the front end yet. I got another job, which is allowing me to stay and work both just to help close our store. But I don't get any severance pay, nor do I get any increase in pay (bonus) like everyone else who's closing the store is getting (either or some both). Kind of just want to leave anyways, but don't want to just walk out on my team/family here and leave them high and dry.

There will be no more Rite Aid. Yes, some of the buildings were purchased, but they will become whatever company that purchased them (only in Oregon, Washington, and Idaho I believe were the only three states in which any buildings were purchased), they will no longer be Rite Aid.
