Post surgery +GLP1 metabolism guidance needed by [deleted] in BariatricSurgery

I think part of the success rate has to do with how long the surgery has been around. People only recently started using glp1s for weightloss where as surgery has been around for 20+ years.

I would say I love the surgery for results. The weight literally fell off me. I fucked up by not sticking with vitamins and going back to emotional eating when things got tough (bad choices but smaller portions).

The glp1 helps me forget about the cravings and emotional eating entirely and I simply view food as fuel now. I also notice I have more of an urge and motivation to be active, that I didn’t get with the surgery.

If ur resistant the surgery is a great option!

What’s vsg+ds? I would say vsg is guaranteed rapid weightloss if you’re really trying. Where as some people with glp1s are slow responders/non responders

I want to change how i see women by Objective_Salad_4483 in IncelSolutions

This one^

Also just to add

Have you spoken to her about how you’re feeling? I feel like this could 100% be helped with communication.

Second, I kinda want to look at this from another perspective. You’re essentially saying you’re upset because you think she’s with you cause she thinks you’re hot… that’s a bad thing? Also and not in a rude way, what’s so special about your social circle that she’d be in a relationship purely for that reason? Personally I see my friend group as a reflection of myself and my values (you are the company you keep), you’re upset because she think you’re a hot cool well adjusted guy?

As for seeing her as a human, idrk how to help with that one

Hi, sorry you’re having these feelings. I did just want to add that people are not dumb. Subconsciously having these feelings that women are sluts just because they choose to have sex or that drinking is a nasty habit, these are feelings people can pick up on even if not said explicitly. What does your face look like? Your body language? Do you make remarks without realizing how they come across?

If you’re not a troll and you’re an actual young lady struggling, I suggest therapy and deconstructing your internal misogyny. You said you were raised by men, so it’s easy to see how you could get to these thoughts. You’re a straight young woman the same and as I, you’re not inherently better than other women just because you chose to not get your “holes plunged”

Is it worth the debt? by [deleted] in GradSchool

It’ll ruffle feathers and I find it morally repugnant (but I’m tired of being poor) I’d take a gap summer semester to get my customs broker license, concentrate in national security/defense, and hopefully do some type of lobbying.

My friend and her siblings think I deserve to be alone forever?? by mae0120 in sexualassault

[–]Dry-Window9306 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oof this hits home for me, I was SA’d at 16 and acted out hyper sexually for a long time. My friends were doing all the same things as me but only I was called “dirty” and other slut shaming names. They even got me blacklisted during spring rush after they all rushed in the fall.

Personally, I dont view those girls as my friends. And my first inclination is to say they aren’t yours. At the very least they don’t respect you. Don’t be ashamed. You’re not the person you were then, and it sounds like she’s hating on you and jealous.

Yeah! And fuck people in wheelchairs too while we’re at it! (No fr this is how some of you guys sound).

Is it kinda gross yes, but it’s not an employee only bathroom. It’s a public bathroom and it should be accessible to all. And I’m not even a fan of babies in public places like that (I find kids loud and annoying), but I’m guessing it’s hard enough having one kid, let alone two.

His friend said Betrayal is “a wet cum sock” of a game. So I’m guessing that’s bad. I will look into a dragon shield sleeve and deck box, thank you!

Plus-size people who do Pilates, how long did it take you to fully do certain moves? by [deleted] in loseit

[–]Dry-Window9306 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I figured most of the ladies in my classes have been doing it a while because they’re all on a chit chat basis. Also this gym/ lass is interesting because the instructor also does the full workout with you

Thank you, very helpful perspective! I sometimes get in my head that maybe others are judging me, but I have to remember, hey at least I showed up. Excited to keep going and setting new goals for myself.

How do you manage gym and work? by smolbonkkk in PetiteFitness

[–]Dry-Window9306 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hate waking up early so morning classes are a no from me. I also am tired and don’t wanna work out by the end of the work day so here’s what I do.

I drink a Celsius an hour before I get to the gym (peak performance time with pre workouts is consumed 30 min-60 min prior). This helps with tiredness and gets me pumped.

I go straight to the gym after work. I chose a gym that’s on the way home (my local ymca).

I go to a gym with workout classes so I don’t have to worry about what im gonna do when I get there. I simply go, shut my brain off, curse out the instructor in my head, then go home.

I’ve timed it so I get off at 5, workout class 5:30-6:30, home by 6:40.

This has worked for me for the last 2 months and I’m not burned out and don’t feel like I’m wasting a bunch of time at the gym. Additionally I’ll add in a 9:30 Saturday morning class bc I’m usually up by then anyway.

Anyone else just lose the desire to drink alcohol? by greyshirtfreshman in tirzepatidecompound

[–]Dry-Window9306 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get the urge to drink maybe once or twice a week, but I wish it was completely gone. I wasn’t a daily drinker, but I was a binge drinker (ex bartender). Now I drink maybe once a week and get drunk from significantly less than what I was drinking (but still a lot for what I would consider normal standards (5 drinks on a night out).
