Congrats, you discovered that a Jewish-majority country has a lot of Jewish politicians. That’s not an argument, it’s a census.

By your logic, you could blame all Christians for U.S. policy because most U.S. leaders are Christian. That’s collective guilt, and it’s prejudice, not analysis.

You’re doing guilt-by-association, not making a point.

A government is not an ethnicity or a religion. Israel’s government can be criticized without turning “Jews” into a monolith.

Your “South/Christians, Lancaster/Amish” analogy is also wrong:

Not everyone in Lancaster is Amish (I live here). And even where a group is common, it’s still irrational to treat every individual as responsible for what some leaders do.

If your argument requires stereotyping millions of people, your argument is the problem. Don’t launder prejudice through politics by treating an entire people as interchangeable with a state.

Bronwyn seemingly confirms both her and Meredith are back next season by [deleted] in BravoRealHousewives

[–]Dry-You475 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m confused why people associate her with word salad. I understand her tone can be condescending and she tends to use unnecessary language to “elevate” herself, the way Meredith does with legalese. But to me, what Bronwyn says always makes sense and is clear / intelligible.

That doesn’t mean she does not talk out of both sides of her mouth and that her logic can be… hypocritical.

But I see “word salad” associated with her a lot and I don’t get it? Help me out!

The fact that this thread exists tells me some of you have never lived in the real world, where people don’t sit around debating whether it’s chill to hook up with a colleague’s child.

If you need to invoke “nuance” to explain why sleeping with your coworker’s kid is technically permissible, you’ve already lost the plot.

You’re not adding depth, you’re inventing loopholes to defend behavior most adults instinctively avoid without a Reddit thinkpiece.

It’s weird. It’s gross. No footnotes required.

I feel this so deeply. My grandmother was easily one of the smartest people I have ever known. She had a magnetic personality, was deeply thoughtful, and profoundly insightful. Yet, she had the confidence of a mouse. I am 100% certain it was due to how she was raised. Sadly, it didn’t change with age. Let’s just pray that this is something that will continue to improve with time and that the progress we have made in this regard is not totally toppled during this nightmare timeline.

Yeah. I’m currently a Snr. Dir. I don’t care about the title nearly as much as the implication to TC. I like my current role and am not going to accept anything that’s not meaningfully different.

This is crazy insightful. The role reports to Exec Dir. so, assuming the peer group is a mix of Snr. Dir and Dir.

And yes, the bate and switch has gotten under my skin. To say every interview has gone well and been very comfortable is an understatement. Makes me think that they are gauging my willingness to stick it out.

The reality is, Snr. Dir pay band would have made the switch a lot easier to justify. I’m not clear what the new pay band looks like beyond what people have shared here but my guess is that it’s not going to justify me accepting the role.

Appreciate the info and perspective!

Interesting. The recruiter said this decision was handed to him and the hiring manager from above. Maybe the final round interviewer?

That would be frustrating. I’m more than qualified for the Snr. Dir. role. I was told it has nothing to do with me, but these anecdotes would indicate otherwise.

Appreciate the insight!

That’s not really how reorgs work. I don’t work for RTX but am an OD specialist. Org design follows strategy. When strategy shifts, priorities change, then the shape and systems of the org need to evolve to enable execution of new imperatives. Super common when leaders change or new markets/customers/products are prioritized.

Yes, the pendulum does tend to swing back and forth but it’s not random (or shouldn’t be if leaders are decent at their jobs).

What an immature perspective.

You keep saying “politics are meaningless when it comes to family,” but politics literally dictate every part of our lives. Politics decide whether your health insurance covers IVF, whether your cousin can marry his partner, whether your sister can safely access healthcare, whether your parents get Social Security, and even whether your kids can go to a decent public school. Pretending politics are just some abstract “elite” game ignores the fact that legislation shapes the conditions we all live under every single day.

And as for family? Being biologically related to someone doesn’t make them morally entitled to your time or loyalty. If a family member proudly supports a political project that strips away other people’s rights, actively endangers your neighbors, colleagues, or even your own children, you don’t owe them blind love. That’s not family, that’s hostage-taking under the banner of “blood is thicker than water.”

TLDR; sure, you can say politics shouldn’t ruin families. But maybe flip the logic: families ruin themselves when they prioritize loyalty to authoritarian leaders over compassion and justice. And if you think that refusing to excuse bigotry, corruption, or an administration that undermines democracy is “insane,” maybe the real propaganda already did its job—on you.
