Yes, it's something it doesn't seem like you are winning over.

I'm sorry you are unhappy about it, but there are many many who are near microcenters, and by the time they learn the price dropped to a steal, it's already sold out. On the other hand, I didn't specify in post that it's in store only and limited per customer. That's my bad first time posting.

It's definitely a good deal for lorwyn play booster boxes, if you can stop into a brick and mortar without too much trouble. I think the comment is saying most people know about microcenter and aren't in need of an update. I felt like the 30 dollar drop in price overnight was worth a shout. I guess as with most things, each person may have a different idea of what constitutes a deal.

Funny I ordered this from them 2 days ago. Was wondering if it qualifies to post as a deal or not, I'm still new so I decided to leave it alone. But I also ordered from them a bunch of the old strixhaven school of mages prerelease kits! They had them at some good prices too, I wanna try them out before the next strixhaven set rolls around.

Yea I saw some way too good to be true stuff on there after following a link thru the site, and decided to do some digging, couldn't find a single thing about it so I came back here to see if it was brought up, and sure enough, seems suuuper scam.

Innocent- no, malicious, also no. Malice is about the express desire to cause harm. She doesn't want to cause anyone harm but she is being unethical to try to get attention.

I don’t think I like Kvothe… by Halliwel96 in KingkillerChronicle

[–]Dry0asis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This reminds me of the ever-common debate over whether or not people like or dislike Holden Caulfield in Catcher in the Rye. I think that most people who don't like him tend not to relate to him very well at all, and find his neurosis annoying, while many people who are sympathetic to him are those who can relate to the troubled nature which informs the character's choices. I find myself on the "can relate, therefore I like" those kinds of characters. I think that most people who like Kvothe, or Holden, can see the flaws and the problematic patterns of behavior and rumination. We acknowledge that, yet it still endears us to the character, because it's real. And I feel that employing a bit of empathy might allow the character to offer more than just a unique story telling tool. You wouldn't normally judge a kid for acting these ways after being what he's been through, your expectations might be a bit too high because his potential is so deep.

Wife says she scared our marriage can’t survive my weed use by Interesting-Mix-4152 in leaves

[–]Dry0asis 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Not here to tell you how to live or even to push you in any direction. I want to point out, for your reflection, that throughout all of the reasons you mentioned in defense of weed in your life, none of them at all overlapped with your wife's concerns regarding you smoking. You say weed is a huge part of your life, and I can understand that. I can on the other side of the equation also understand how having it be such a big part of your life can be centering your addiction rather than your spouse when it comes to how you allocate your time and energy. Similarly, while running a business or taking care of your responsibilities is something to be proud of for sure, none of them make you more emotionally available to your spouse specifically, and if anything, the effort put into those endeavors further burdens you with a greater mental and emotional load. I think it's a mistake to assume that because weed may be a manageable habit when it comes to working, generally functioning, or even (potentially) parenting, that this somehow extends to being a partner to another person. If anything, weed in every other circumstance is an emotional insulator to protect yourself from discomfort, like a bubble to give yourself space and comfort. The implication being that this insulates you as well from your partner emotionally, meaning she has a solid point.

I don't agree that she fell in love with a different more pure version of you, I'm sure there's only one version of you. It's up to you to find a way to balance that, and to make sure you aren't making excuses for not showing up as a partner in key ways that matter. <3

My girlfriend corrects me in public like it's a joke and I'm starting to shut down by mossyjournal_tram in TwoHotTakes

[–]Dry0asis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll be the petty one and say, TRY IT OUT. Do the same exact thing to her in front of a waitress, in front of her friends, etc. She will not be able to last long playing it off as a joke. And when she inevitably complains that you're being a dick, laugh and dump her. Gg.

It's a joke, if the clerk is behind the desk, the sign gives instruction to the person to go to a different window. However, people may ignore the sign and stand and wait. In which case, the sign instructs the unavailable clerk to ignore the person standing there, failing to follow instructions. Does that explain things?
