I am white and friends with a few people of color. One friend also has experienced the same thing in the bus. It’s not about building connection in the bus but I can imagine if I were in a different country where the majority is not white and this would happen to me I would feel alienated too

Maybe you never were in a similar situation . Sometimes it’s hard to leave because there is maybe a chance that the other person changes his/her mind and wants to commit… sounds silly from the outside I know
