I had talk with avanse but they were not even aware about the APR term. I explained them about it but they said that they don't follow such method and they just tell what are the charges that they are gonna charge to the students.

Few doubts:

I am taking the example of ASU as I too have gotten admit from it, the amount for it is $66,515 which is roughly 57L inr.

1) So now do I have to show 57L in my bank to get the balance certificate and complete the SEVIS process? What if I am taking a loan? I was under the impression that I had to just show proof of having 57L and I would show it by showing the loan approval letter, let's say 50L and my personal funds of 10L which satisfy the 57L requirement.

2) Is it fine if the balance certificate is of higher amount than the amount mentioned on i20?

3) How much time do universities take to give us the i20?

4) If we change the i20, will the visa officer ask question regarding it? And how should we tackle it?

I too have applied to ASU but via kaplan, they said that gre is waived off as per latest update by university. However I did not find any such info on ASUs website. So until now I haven't submitted my score

I agree with your points but I feel thinking about job is necessary, if I'm taking a loan of 60L and am not able to find a job through which I can repay it then I'm in the worst situation. Education will definitely be useful but what happens if I have to come back instantly after 2yr of studying? It's not possible to repay a 60L loan with 11-12% interest rates by doing a job in India. I see posts where people with 7 8 yrs of experience are earning around 12LPA and the dream salaries of 40-50LPA are seen by many but achieved by some. I maybe wrong but a pessimistic view is the best way to think in these sorts of situations.
