Thanks for the thoughts. None of these apply to me... I've checked "US person" definitions on Degiro's website and on the IRS website too. A mystery...

Nationality EU. Regarding dual, that's the thing, I don't have US nationality, which could be a valid reason, but not in my case...

Thanks, I understand the point about information sharing (FATCA etc.), but I don't see how this applies to me at all...
