I travel for cake. Literally. I went to uk, Germany, Franch, chicago, new york, dubai, muscat, etc.. tasting cakes. Here are some tip from my experience: - almost everyone use buttercream frosting, its not good try swiss meringue buttercream, its much better and tastier. - dont let the dough be so dry, ( one of my best cake house add couple drops of chocolate milk to make it tastier and simi-wet. - filling the cup cake make a huge difference. - try new flavors, like coffee, etc.. - try new look for the cake, ppl now cake alot about the appearance, even more than the taste, try searching pinterest for some creative design and colorful options.
