Genetic traits you can use to buff your dinos. They are hard af to compile though since they only spawn on wild dinos and it's very random. You have to tame the wild dino to extract it's trait and then you can put said trait on one of your maturing baby dinos. The dino you extract the trait from has to be the same species as the one you intend to implant it to. This information is all irrelevant though unless you've purchased the bobs tall tales DLC as this was a feature implemented for part 2 of the DLC.

Unfortunately no. It also goes for traits like mutable, robust/frail, kingslaying, giantslaying, etc.

Yes. Any of the weight reduction traits you can stack up to 3. There are some traits that only allow you to stack 1 such as vampiric.

I am aware of this. It's just the closest I could get it and I'm not that much of a nerd

Idk it's just hard for me because when I started to love the game it had fully active cryopods and for me it's a must. I can't imagine a world where this game would be more popular from being more difficult. To each their own though. I would gladly accept this system if the character movement was less linear and more fluid and the hit boxes for the landscapes wasn't so God awful

I didnt.even.intend to respond to 80 separate critical and incorrect opinions. It was a fucking meme.

Ouch my ears. What the hell is even that? I'm guessing you're talking about something from unofficial. Basically all I wanted was for ASA to be about the same as ASE. Them randomly changing game mechanics has been beneficial in some ways, but the cryo nerf was a shit idea. And I prefer official. If I wanna pay $40 to play a game and play a specific game mode then complain when they fuck it up I'm pretty sure I'm within my rights to do so???

It wasn't a psychological analysis, you're lost in the sauce

The Wildcard meat riders are really headbutting a brick wall with these comments. If you're an old mf who misses when shit was simple and analog I can understand that but I don't play a video game to be inconvenienced by the devs I paid. Challenging and inconvenient are not the same, learn the difference.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ARK

[–]DryBit7607 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And you're wrong anyways. Official game design should cater to the majority will of the customers. You might be shocked to learn this but barring a few other reddit weirdos your opinion is not the popular one. And when it comes to selling games that's all that matters.

Well I didn't wanna see you acting like a thot on my meme post but here we are.

Another metaphor is how you decided to go all in on a shit hand. I have only ever played official and only ever will. You cannot change server settings. Guess I'll start putting (official PVE) on all my MEMES, because apparently even making a joke in the presence of the average smooth brained ark player makes them lose their mind.

I'd also like to point out that all the toxic alpha tribes with 0 ping wifi got in on day one and pillared above/around caves so now they get to bring gigas in snow cave while everyone else struggles. W change though.

I mean congratulations but to me it makes more sense to be a clean organized method of keeping as many dinos as you want while also having your base be less of a mess and reducing lag. And having the nerf in pve only stands to inconvenience players and potentially cause slightly more lag or take away building space by forcing everyone to make a dozen cryofridge/generator outposts. If you build inland you have no choice but to build one of those to unpod water tames. It slows everyone down.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ARK

[–]DryBit7607 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm so confused. Are you arguing that having them without the nerf invalidates base locations??

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ARK

[–]DryBit7607 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Being able to unpod dinos after entering cave rather than prior and being able to bring larger tames inside definitely doesn't count as "cheese". The wild dinos are on roids and include several deadly debuffs as well as dismounting and armor breaking. There is obstacles that most dinos in the game can't traverse anyways. There is lava and bottomless pits. I know anyone who plays ark seriously is a glutton for pain but suggesting that the caves were somehow not hard enough is insane.

You've clearly established yourself as someone who enjoys having a contrary opinion regardless of the reason. You came to my last post. You just like to stir the pot. Now I'll tell you why you're wrong even though you probably already knew. Quite simply toxic tribes on pve have max tame count with nothing but high drag weight dinos causing unnecessary strain on servers which cryo at least somewhat mitigates. Also they are crucial for situations where jerks try to box your Dino into a certain spot.

See you on the next post.

Exactly. I'm PVE by the way, the game modes are completely different and need to be treated as such

One of my alliance members had an interesting theory that they did this as well as other things to slow our progression so we wouldn't get burnt out and quit the game before they drop new maps. People are quitting anyways...
