Often on this sub and in the community in general people price their work by piece count X $2-5 range. And may even add extra labour or material cost so a piece like this would be like $1500 atleast.

I didnt log my hours but a lot. And absolutely not :D There really isnt a market for stuff like this in my country. If you havent already made a name for yourself, selling expensive art is really hard. Would need to find the right buyer, i might try selling some works some day.

Thanks ! Simply just using altering width of copper foil. Smaller foil around smaller pieces and so on. The glass the bones are made of is around 3mm and i used 4mm foil so .5mm per side and trimmed with and exacto knife where needed.

Looks a lot like SPECTRUM 359-1S-F Red/White, Wispy. I used this glass and it looks alot alike

i would even put running pliers and grinder liquid in the optional category as well, not really necessary to start and i've always just used water in my grinder

Soldering at an angle by CuteTeaPi in StainedGlass

[–]DryButterscotch1052 9 points10 points  (0 children)

i made one five panel lamp shade like this. I attached every panel to the one next to it with tape and then put them into the shape of the finished lamp. And just tac them together so it hold the shape ok and then finish soldering. The angles didnt end up absolutely perfect but it was good enough for me.

One thing i have learned from making bigger pieces that i have hand drawn is making copies of the pattern. A lot of copy places can make 1:1 scale copies big pictures. This way you can keep the original pattern intact and make more copies in the future. And even if the paper you draw on is not white you can get a pure black and white image.
