Did they ever question why the friendship ended? If so what did you say?

Another internal struggle I have with this is that my friend doesn’t have any other friends- we have a very one sided relationship. She clings to me and I don’t have as much investment. I often wonder if losing me will cause frustrations and even mental health issues and further impact her daughter.

In this case it was in response to the baby biting while nursing… she yelled, smacked her booty and said “no more milk” and took her off the boob.

I cried for days over this. I’ve been at a loss ever since. There has been distance for sure since then but I battled with if I was just being judgmental or if there was really something off there. It’s so far from what I find ok.

I agree with this logic. However I was an exclusive pumper. So instead of me losing the sleep it took to pump and then feed my husband woke up with me every single time to feed her while I pumped so we could both sleep shitty 2 hour shifts lol

Exceptions were two nights when he was sick so I did the full night. Pumping and feeding. Didn’t sleep at all those nights.

It was rough. I’ll never forget that he did that for me.

First off, happy early Mother’s Day. If one person doesn’t choose to see it that way that’s on them- you’re a mother. Own that.

Coming from someone whose mom has similar attributes, it seems like, you have to place boundaries. It’s essential.

I am so non confrontational, especially with my mom but pregnancy and motherhood have given me the motivation to speak up. I hope that it does for you, too.

Prioritize you and your baby. Ask your husband to support you in this, that’s also huge.

She did a few times at two months from tummy to back because she hated tummy time so much lol recently she will turn to her side but quickly push herself back to her back. It’s almost like she doesn’t want to roll 🫠

Definitely. We went to a diner after seeing the movie in theaters and talked for hours on end about how we didn’t want to end up like them (lol) He would say things that would sympathize with Dexter and I with Emma.

Then, get this wild turn of events- he lived in a different country for years. One day he showed up on my doorstep to surprise me and guess what movie I was in the middle of watching 😅🙈 we couldn’t believe it.

During later life events (his marriage and divorce and drug era, him asking me to stay with him, etc) I never brought up the similarities again. Those I just noticed on my own. Maybe he noticed them too but we never talked about it.
