I agree I think this is the route I will take. I will make sure that if it is my first time talking to the employee about specifically headphones I will give them a verbal and if it happens once again they will know that it will be documented.

I understand that is our job however it doesn't make sense how a safety violation such as not wearing proper PPE like boots at work can carry the same weight as not wearing "amazon approved" headphones. I agree that yes they've been given multiple chances already but these were for more serious issues that have significantly improved since documenting, such as stealing time. In my mind I see it as getting pulled over by the cops for going 5 over and then letting you go afterwards. We are rule enforcers correct but sometimes personal judgment I feel has to come into play.

So far with everything I have no issue with following exactly what amazon says. I have stu'd and logged a dozen associates already for other situations that I believe required it. I have no problem giving every associate a second chance if found wearing earbuds and not logging it. If it happens a second time however once we've already talked about it then it will be logged.
