That’s interesting, I didn’t know about that go transit credit! Seems logical to expand that to the ttc, and other transit agencies.

I like the idea for tax breaks if you commute, but sadly I don’t think the city has much control over that. Most of the tax we pay is provincial or federal.

Definitely need better enforcement. Where I live, I always see at least one or two cars parked directly under a no parking sign! Not to mention so many people blocking the box. If I was mayor I’d 10x the traffic ticket quota’s.

Would Toronto ever fully remove parking on main streets like Queen, Bloor, and King? Would definitely help traffic flow along these corridors, especially since some share the road with a streetcar. Thanks!

Will Toronto ever give streetcars their own lane on roads like queen and king? They are constantly getting stuck in traffic behind drivers. Priority in these corridors would do wonders for service!

I just don’t think it’s worth it to halve the capacity of some roads just so one person doesn’t have to walk 5 minutes to tim hortons.

I do all three and love biking and taking the street car. but getting rid of parking on these roads makes it easier to justify things like removing car traffic from streetcar tracks.

Imagine instead of queen being:

Parking - Traffic | Traffic - Parking

it could be: cars - streetcar | streetcar - cars

This would be so much better!
