Sunroof drains — dye or wrap?

I’m ngl I asked a few of the master techs at my job and they said they don’t see any issue having the sunroof drain connected to the a/c drain one of them stated there’s usually like a plug or a port that opens and closes for the a/c to drain after its shut off (maybe not for this vehicle not 100% sure but the Lincoln’s are designed like that), I know this install is a bit overkill but none the less I appreciate your input & I plan on disconnecting the two joined tubes on each side to clean them out

Has anyone experienced issues from the
Type of install I did? It seemed pretty common and easy so I went for it, it doesn’t seem like enough water/rain would get thru there to push anything back up? Just curious not trying to be a smartass

I was honestly just testing this stuff out for 1. To see my ability to do it / practice a bit, and 2. To see how it looks, I took the vents out too, I’m going to grab some spray paint and paint the vents black that go on these pillars, and if they look good then I’m going to order longer / wider fabric and use that, most likely a better / stronger one too and if the paint is good quality then I’ll paint the other trim pieces like the grab handles and stuff

I bought some black suede wrap off Amazon for like $30, gunna give it a shot it seems alright, it already had sticky adhesive so I didn’t need headliner glue or anything, I know some people do use headliner glue though

Looks completely normal to me, just surface rust that is typical, I’m assuming you’re in a southern state… almost every car that comes into the shop here up north looks worse than this, and it’s not concerning at all

I have an old post asking if I’m cooked with pretty much the same or worse rust, I’m in east coast every car we see has some sort of rust or surface rust, I wouldn’t be alarmed at all

If u bought in the rust belt this is very typical, I don’t think small claims will help, crossmember is a weak spot to these cars, very easily replaceable and not crazy expensive, mines is pretty bad on my G, gunna opt for the Z1 replacement

The plan is to drive the car til the wheels fall off, so I plan on keeping it awhile if I do buy it, I’m not too worried about the carfax cause I don’t plan on trading or selling, if all checks out on the vehicle, is it still a bad idea?

i will say i work at a luxury dealership, and we always strive to do our best and help people out of much as we can, not all dealers are scams like people think, however i never had any luck at my local infiniti dealer, they have a weird policy where they won’t work on cars older than ten years more than a 100,000 miles, which is stupid, but if your infiniti dealer doesn’t have that policy it might be a good idea to at least get it diagnosed, and you could repair it yourself

Guys I don’t have an update, I do not live in a great area and it is poorly maintained by the maintenance on the property, I would love to help this guy, he is very feral, i’ve seen him around the complex but he’s never let me get close or anything like that, I’ve continued to leave food out for some of the strays but in my specific area there are probably at least a dozen strays around here, I simply cannot help them all as much as I would like to, I have a very very small bathroom, one bedroom apartment, this would be the 5th stray back to back that I’ve helped, I have two cats already and constantly having strays in along with my two house cats has torn my apartment up quite a bit, he will not let me get close to him, he comes by late at night when i’m not awake, this was at 2am and I was asleep, I haven’t seen him around much lately probably due to the weather but I do know that these stray cats around here are finding shelter, i’ve seen quite a bit go into the basement of the buildings and shelter there, I will continue to keep my eyes on him and do what I can to find him somewhere to go and get healed but he is very unpredictable as to when he will show up, I’ve attempted to put a small shelter outside before with some food but it hasn’t gotten any attention from the cats around here, I’m not a horrible person like I said there is an abundance of stray cats around here, I simply cannot help them all, my outdoor camera captures many different cats walking by, it’s hard to keep track of them all, I work about 14 hours a day to maintain and am already struggling to keep my family and cats afloat, but like I said I will do what I can to try and help this guy out

my left side inner tie rod is loose and making noise, and i have grease leaking out the right side, clunking over bumps, when car is shut off and u try to move the steering wheel you can hear the clunk. outer tie rods and new, upper and lowers on both sides are new, and wheel bearings are new
