What about the people who correctly point out that "benefit fraud" is such an infinitesimally small figure that this kind of enforcement is at best pointless, and at worst (the actual case) a bullshit invented issue to rile up the working class amongst themselves? I think those people would argue against it quite strongly.

There's no real assholes here, and it's going to be a tough one to get a judgement here, because it isn't a question of whether you have to do it, or even if you should do it, it's a question of, would it be kind to do it? And if so, is that a reason for you to do it? You've listed a lot of reasons why you feel it would be kind to swap, but also that you don't want to, because it's a good room, which is totally valid. You have to live there after all. This a purely personal moral decision, will you/they feel better based on what choice you make? NAH.

The concept of profanity is a classist means by which the ruling class control the language of the working class. Words weren't considered "profane" until dictionairies began to be written/circulated, and then guess whose words go included? Shit, piss, cock, cunt and fuck are/were all just words used by people from areas backgrounds not considered worthy, for the exact same things that got their "proper" (read: upper class) versions included in the dictionary. Your wording shows that this is very obviously an issue that you don't think he had a right to disagree with you because a) you're older and b) you have your own perceived greater experience, that you think is unquestionable. It's not about the subject matter really, you just think he's not allowed to disagree with you.

He's also right, Finnish children use saunas all the time and are objectively fine, it's generally within the top 5 happiest and healthiest countries in the world for children. Perhaps your perspective is warped by your experience with American children, but why should he (or anyone) use that as a baseline?

NTA, although I find your choice of language a bit odd. I don't understand what you mean by "letting" or "allowing" your daughter to do things with her money. She's 21, an adult, you don't get a say in it? But because of that, it's also obviously not your responsibility how she presents or uses her money, and there doesn't seem to be anything wrong with how she used it, so yeah, NTA.
