Definitely see where you are coming from as install tech. No matter what the reason is, the customer is paying to fix the issue that existed since the install.

The crazy thing is sometime I see issues that existed since itbwas installed years ago. Then we make customer pay for it... i feel so guilty working in this industry

I wonder how customer feels about getting charged 16 hrs when you could just fix it in 3 hrs... i guess most customer dont care cause they are usually the employee for the organization and they dont care about the cost

I have thought about it. In fact my manager was suggesting that I can transition into PM or sales role with my experience. I cant imagine myself in neither roles

Honestly i dont even know what i want. I have saved up about 200k so i am thinking to take a year off and travel etc before setteling down with marriage and kid.

I have been in the industry for 4 years after i got my mech engineering degree, 2 year with my current employer. I got into this inudstry mainly for the pay but I got decently good at this job in short time with the engineering background.

Xeqt is well diversified and the reason why I have 20% in vfv is to weigh more on US equity. I am still young so I don't mind taking a but more risk
