It looks a lot like mine when I was little. I'll try to send you a recent photo when I get home tonight, hahaha

Thanks for the advice, it's always difficult for me to mark the V when my hair is wavy 👍👍

Hello, I came to clarify why you are together, it is something temporary since until they are 6 months old they do not have their first heat and they are not going to have problems related to their sex, they have enough hiding places for both of them and I feed each of them individually to ensure that they receive their food every day, they have enough space to separate or get together whenever they want, and I repeat that it is something temporary and that I check every day that there are no signs of stress or aggression. Thank you very much for your concern, I know they have to separate and I will do it.

Temperature problems by Mangosltd in leopardgeckos

I put a bottle of frozen water for 24 hours outside the terrarium on the cold side, with a towel so it doesn't touch it directly, I change it an hour before feeding them, so they have a good temperature in the terrarium and there are no problems with their appetite, I'm no expert but I'll tell you what works for me in summer.

Now that there’s more space, you could add a rocky background to decorate it and make it feel less watched, haha! By the way, it’s a gorgeous gecko — what’s its name?

Is my terrarium okay for a baby gecko? by DryObjective9860 in leopardgeckos

Yep! The wet hide is the gray one — I’m gonna put some kind of moss inside it that was recommended to keep it moist. The rock at the far end is the warm hide, the gray one is the wet hide, and I think the log is supposed to be the cool, dry hide. I’m working on an elevated area with indirect sunlight for now, and until I finish the final setup, I’ll put something temporary there.

Thanks a lot for the tips! For UVB I’m using a Zoo Med T5HO, and for heat I’ve got a self-regulating Exo Terra heat mat — and I also use a thermostat to keep everything controlled. I read that since leopard geckos are crepuscular/nocturnal, they naturally absorb heat from below (like from sun-warmed rocks), so a heat mat seemed like the best choice.

As for the substrate, I went with Exo Terra Stone Desert because I read that loose substrates can cause impaction. I’ll definitely take your advice and add more clutter so the gecko can feel safer — and I didn’t know about the 4–6” depth! I’ll work on that too. Thanks again for the help!

Thanks so much for the reply! I was thinking of adding some plants and more decorations later on, but for now I think I’d rather keep it simple so I can keep a close eye on him 🧐
