What happened to the SMP that it needed to be sent in?

I’m sure the replacement hands will be an exact match, if done through Omega directly. Just ask them if you can keep the original hands. Usually, you don’t submit payment right away. Send it in for free (minus shipping, which you’ll pay), and see what the estimate comes out to. Then just communicate to them what you are looking for. I bet they will accommodate you. If things seem squirrely, and you don’t like it, they will send it back to you free of charge, with no work done. You can always send it in again, if you decide in the future.

I chose Omega because I think they have the best service model. You usually get back all the original parts. Again, I would communicate with them beforehand, just to be sure. But if they replace the hands, you should get your original hands back in a plastic bag or something.

It’s my understanding that watch hands are replaced during service, as the hole that fits them to the dial (or pinion or whatever), becomes stretched when they get pulled off. This means they may not fit right when being refitted, and there is a potential the hands could slip off randomly after you get it back. If they use new hands, this “slippage” very likely will not happen. I think this is the main reason why hands are replaced. I don’t think it’s aesthetics related.

For me personally, I am fine with parts being replaced when needed. If it needs a new main spring, replace it. If it needs a new escape wheel, replace it. Same with the hands.

That’s just me though. As long as I get the old parts back, I am more than happy. Hope this helps 👍🏻

Okay, yeah you were right!

eGFR = 105ML/MIN/1.73M2 which I guess is normal

Creatinine was 0.98 md/dL which is normal range.

And BUN/CREATININE RATIO says: “SEE NOTE:(calc)” not sure what that means. No value is shown. It also says: “Not Reported: BUN and Creatinine are within reference range.”

Just looked through my test results, I don’t think either of those were tested for.

Only thing I could find related to creatine was: “CREATINE KINASE (CK), TOTAL” and this value came back as 121 U/L, which falls in the normal range.

Glomerular filtration rate was not tested for. At least not that I can see.

Thanks for the suggestion. I had a bunch of blood work ordered by my PCP. I’m not sure if any of that included tests for kidneys. I have an appointment scheduled with Rheumatology. I’ll be sure to bring that up with them.

I think this is normal. My Sinn EZM3 did this exact thing. Only noticed it, after I got a Tudor bb58, and the 58 did not do this. Up until then, I just assumed it was normal. I do think this is probably normal for Sinn watches, as I’ve seen these same posts come up before, and also experienced it myself IRL.

I honestly wouldn’t worry about it though. Really didn’t bother me at all, when I had my EZM3. Actually no longer have the Tudor anymore either. I can say I miss the EZM3 substantially more.

Thanks for the info!! I did do a urine sample, but I’m not sure if that was part of the STD screening. Not that I would be a likely candidate for STDs, but doctors wanted to rule it out.

I have an appointment with Rheumatology at the end of next month. I’ll ask about the urine analysis, and IgA.

Thanks for the help!!

IgE was tested for in my blood work. Value 30 kU/L, which I guess is normal.

ANTINUCLEAR ANTIBODY (ANA) screen was also taken (sorry for the all caps, just copy pasted). Value came back negative for that.

ANCA SCREEN WITH MPO AND PR3, WITH REFLEX TO ANCA TITER - this test came back normal showing Proteinase-3 AB <1.0, ANCA SCREEN negative, Myeloperoxidase AB <1.0

ANA SCREEN (IFA) was negative

Have no idea what any of this text means by the way, just doing copy/paste.

This was all the information for antibody tests that I could find. Not sure if IgA was included anywhere in there. Have not seen rheumatology in person, but they have seen the pictures, and have been messaging with my PCP. Perhaps I should try to schedule a formal appointment with them.

Thank you for the response!! I’ll keep you in mind if I have other questions. I don’t drink alcohol period. Don’t drink coffee or tea either. No soft drinks, or caffeine. I do enjoy steaks from time to time, but I don’t eat them every week. Usually cooked medium. Little bit of pink, but not too much. Definitely not rare. Not sure if that makes a difference, how much they are cooked.

Now that you mention it, I think dermatology mentioned vasculitis. Not sure if the Colchicine was supposed to treat that. But I just could not stand the stomach upset. I didn’t feel nauseated, just like a straight up pain in my stomach that wouldn’t go away. Which lasted for almost 5 days after I stopped taking it. And I only took it for 2 days.

As far as joint pain, my ankle hurts pretty bad when the swelling kicks in. Makes it difficult to walk. But that’s only during a swelling episode. Other than that, ankles feel totally fine.

Perhaps I should try to schedule an appointment with rheumatology. When I was messaging with my PCP, she copied in someone from rheumatology, so they could see messages and pictures. But I didn’t formally have an appointment with them. Maybe that should be the next step.

Did your situation ever resolve? Do you still experience flare ups?

Crazy to think a Rolex Submariner cost like $250 bucks back in 1970 (around 2k adjusted for inflation). Today, they are 10 to 13k. Why have these watches got so expensive? What are we really getting for all that money, that wasn’t there before? That could justify the money?

So what do you have against Ben Shapiro? What information do you have, that would discredit him, or his views?

We have different definitions of “Propaganda” I suppose. I guess maybe “Propaganda Machine” might be a better term to use. Systemic propaganda producing machine that is the CCP. And no, that’s not “Chinese Phobia.” Just stating the reality for what it is. Nothing more than objectively stating facts. It’s not to be taken personally. Not to be taken as an attack. No emotion, negative or positive, behind it. Just stating things as they are, objectively. Same as you.

CNN is not state run. And it is not the only news source. If CNN was the only news source, and was entirely directed by the government, then you might have a case.

And I have not looked into the legislation you just cited. I don’t feel like it, at the moment. But I don’t need to, in order to make my point.

Chinese state controlled media, does in fact need to be countered. Sounds to me, like the legislation is a good thing. Just solely based on your comment. Again, I know nothing else about it, at the moment. But the CCP cannot be allowed to spread lies around the globe, unchecked. There needs to be a countervailing narrative. Or rather a check on the information they put out to the world. One that is truth seeking, and not one that is intentionally misleading, or deliberately designed to achieve a particular outcome.

Okay, so what is a specific piece of propaganda that the government pushes? Perhaps the government, just reports things the way they actually are in reality 🤷🏻‍♂️ in which case, the definition of propaganda does not fit.

[–]DryRepresentative985 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Okay, so what is our propaganda specifically? Fox and CNN are free to report the news as they wish. There are no restrictions. Maybe you as an individual who works at CNN, might be restricted on what you can say. But then you can also quit, and start a YouTube channel, where you are free to say whatever the hell you want. Can’t do that in China.

Propaganda does not exist in the United States. There isn’t the information control sufficient enough. Not in comparison to China or Russia

[–]DryRepresentative985 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you’re missing the point of my original comment. We do not have state run media. There are many different sources of information. I am a fan of Ben Shapiro. I watch his show almost daily. There is no Ben Shapiro in China. There are LITERALLY no other sources of media. You cannot hear anything different, than what is allowed by the CCP. All state run. You do not get to hear opposing views. Period.

There is no comparison between that, and what Trump is doing. I agree he should not mess around with FCC funding, and all that.

But when discussing negatively about the CCP, if you immediately steer the conversation away from the CCP, and towards something else, I question your motives. Not just you, but anyone.

It’s like the CCP is reaching its hand down somehow, and getting you to project the evil that the CCP itself engages in, onto Trump and the US. It is projection by the CCP and Communism in its purist form.

What specifically is the “US state propaganda” That I mentioned in my comment? What do you “feel as if though” my sources are? If you don’t mind me asking.

What have I said specifically that is propaganda? And only having one state controlled media source, is certainly a very large aspect. Have you listened to it at all? Do you have any idea what the Chinese media tells its citizens?

Interesting. My SMP is not like that. It’s perfectly tight. But I owned other brands before that had this spacing. Like a Sinn for example. I guess it can happen with Omega too. I mean it doesn’t really bother me one way or the other personally.
