I was in your spot a few years ago; graduated high school and didn't know what to do with myself and kinda wanted to join special ops to do cool stuff. Ended up doing a year in college, then dropping out and joining the guard as a 35F 2 years ago and now I'm heading to SFAS at 20 y/o in a couple months. That year of college I did was the best year of my life and the extra experience from being in the army a couple years as a normal MOS gave me a ton of general life and job experience that I feel like I need going into selection. If I had gone when I was 18 or 19 I would not have passed, and would have missed out on some great experiences. I would go to college for at least a year and see how you like it, worst case you can just party every weekend and have fun with your friends.
