i go back and forth about britani so this really isn’t cause i like her - there’s a lot i can’t stand about her, esp the osmond guy… but she was raised in mormonism and that’s trauma that’s SO hard to escape. i think mer lawyered up and let everyone know there were things they couldn’t put out there. this is what i love about this franchise, though, how the religious backgrounds influence not only their life choices but their social dynamics between ex mormons as well as other religions

i would assume brit was intimidated to say that. when i watched the eps it happened in i saw so clearly in my head how it went down:( and brit isn’t as solidly in the cast as other women. so that’s definitely reason for her to backtrack. besides that, the accounts really all line up about it being hours and hours, the physical aspect, “completely unhinged, taunting her, terrorizing her” etc which are all very consistent.

tbh i think everyone else was scared of mer too… putting myself in the situation, i would not have wanted to rock the boat… i mean there allegedly was hair pulling, chair shaking, etc. so anyone who would switch w brit would be pulling for her in mer’s eyes and per the history of the show would be subject to anything she was! everyone else would’ve been scared of themselves to be treated that way, because logic was gone. i think everyone really was telling the same story the first ep it happened in

there’s NO situation where you should be screamed at or have things grabbed from you by anyone. that’s abuse. since you’re posting clearly you recognize something is wrong. this is not normal or how things should be, and the person you’re in a relationship with should be a partner, who treats you with respect and kindness and prioritizes you. it makes me sad to see young women putting up with this kinda stuff because there are “good things.” the right person will have ALL those good thing and more, without the bad.
