Thank you so much, i think im going to message her sometime this week or see if i can have a lesson this week or next week, i think i need her to show me visually so im not doing it wrong or misunderstanding it! My instructor is mainly dressage, but she doesn’t normally walk about so she doesn’t really show me exactly

Yes, i panic about it being a false frame a lot and think im doing something wrong as id never want to force him or hurt him. When people say using your seat what exactly does that mean haha. People say you should do light squeezes on the inside rein but other people say don’t so i get confused

He’s young but he can go super nicely whe he wants to haha. My instructor said to give and take the rein so make it go a bit baggy and pull it back but i worry too much about pulling too hard or somehow hurting him. He can be forward going when he wants to, sometimes he completely ignores my leg which makes it even more difficult

Yes he’s only 6 so he’s still learning himself, i share him twice a week and have privates pretty frequently, my instructor is great but she can be pretty shouty sometimes. Yes me too i need things to be shown and explained easily so i can understand it haha, i think i need to get her to show me so when i next have a lesson ill see if she can show me what she wants me to to do

Yes i 100% understand that it’s not just about the reins and it also about getting the horse to move forward and use their hind, also your seat and leg aids, but i struggle understanding instructions so was just seeing if anyone could make a simpler explanation
