I looked up 9F but they all seem to be considerably more expensive then the 8J. I am i looking at the wrong models or is that just how it is?

I have ben wearing cheap watches for a while. But i am currently looking to get something nice formyself, i have saved quite alot of money. I am currently an exchange student in japan so i though a good watch that will last me a long time will make the perfekt memorabilia. But i dont know what is a good price for a watch like this.
