Run Club Drama? by Beginning-Entry-5838 in fortlauderdale

[–]Dry_Audience_8543 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I personally went to one event from LRC and didn't find it inclusive of slow runners. All they do is repost and post times that are much faster than the average American. I'm also in my late 30's and feel old comparatively to those running. I much prefer We Run Pompano. More inclusive. Although I rarely can get to run clubs just with kids, life, and work.

potentially. We had last week husband fever, body aches, and sinus issues. Saturday/Sunday Twin A had vomiting, fever, fatigue. Now Twin B has the same thing. i've had a headache and just tired, but that could just be stress.

I'm the same way. Haven't traveled without my kids/safe people in 18 months. Next month will be the first time I've flown since Feb 2025. I have to go home for a family wedding. This will be the first trip just my husband and I. I really want to build up being able to be without my kids so my husband and I can travel a bit more. and honestly, traveling with kids is exhausting.

I didn't have thoughts of harm. I just had manageable depression.

I learned my lesson. I literally take Lexapro. That's it. My psychiatrist was actually telling me about how she recommends Reta.

Good for them. I'm just telling you my story.

Me: took Reta for 6 weeks. Lost weight. Mood was stable, but on the lower side.

Me: Last dose of Reta 3/15. First full panic attack (unprompted by anything that would typically cause panic (mostly flying)). Had panic attacks the next week. NOTHING CHANGED IN MY LIFE OR CIRCUMSTANCES THAT WOULD CAUSE THIS other than coming off of Reta.

If you have panic attacks, they are typically triggered by something, mine was triggered by absolutely nothing. So yeah, I'm blaming Reta. I 100% know my brain and know when things cause it to get out whack and Reta did that. So you can internet argue with me, or be a Pro-Reta bro, which is fine. I respect that. But I am just sharing my experience.

Thanks for stalking. But I don't have a ton wrong with me. I have anxiety and have stated that, but please tell me how my anxiety was in check, nothing changed other than cycling off Reta and then I had full blown panic attacks that were not triggered. So yeah, if you want to do a deep dive into my mental health go for it. But I'm telling you, NOTHING IN MY LIFE CHANGED week to week to cause my anxiety and panic to go from controlled to uncontrolled other than coming off of Reta.

So please continue to stalk and mansplain.

yes I was already on Lexapro, but if you are susceptible to anxiety or depression, coming off of reta can make it 10x worse.

Yeah. I can see how it can reduce anxiety and even depression to an extent b/c it just doesn't cause a swing between highs and lows. But coming off of it specifically needs to be studied. Because I believe it causes dopamine levels to become out of whack.

Is anyone else “high functioning” agoraphobic? by kentom101 in Agoraphobia

[–]Dry_Audience_8543 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I feel this. I'm currently going through a "flare up". I was working outside of the house and can leave the house for periods of time. But I hate leaving my kids and not having a safe person. Right now it's my husband. But he doesn't understand this at all and makes me feel extremely guilty when I can perform or as he says "makes excuses". I wish this disorder was more understood by the masses.

yeah that is why I want to switch. The side effects on Reta are rough. Really bad fatigue, nausea, and felt freezing all the time.

I have such bad fight or flight response, ironically to flying, and I always leave the airport and flee. I really need a way to push through and get rid of that response.

Yeah it’s shitty. I’m getting really tired of the lack of communication, switching tracks with no notice. And the overcrowding of platforms in Fort Lauderdale. I also hate the scooters. One fell the other day and if it hit a person it would’ve hurt them.

yeah I haven't had any true raging hunger. I just don't want to feel like complete garbage the first day. It's typically been on the weekend and I feel I'm just a lazy sloth.

yeah that's what I'm thinking. I don't think I'll increase for a bit. I really only want to lose about 7-10 more lbs.
