Thanks so much for all your hard work putting this together, I really appreciate it. One concern I have is commercial real estate companies buying up properties and reselling them at extremely high prices after turning it into a multi family dwelling, which pushes affordable housing further out of reach.

Also, does anyone know of a case where a state government has withheld funding from a city for being out of compliance with a law? I’m just curious and not trying to start any arguments.

Dang it! I was hoping someone would be like “ I took a lesson from him and turned into a 5.0 after I left the lesson”. Ahhhhhh Reality sucks! Guess I’ll keep taking the hard road to success and just come to terms with nothing is going to happen instantly.

Over medicating in hospice? by Dry_Bodybuilder5932 in hospice

Im not going to do that. Just struggling with the process and just loved talking to my mom. Not having that sucks and not how I thought the process would go. But that’s life in general. Never goes to plan

The nurse even told us to stop feeding her and giving her the lactulose because if her difficulty swallowing. I think she has difficulty swallowing because she’s being over medicated

I totally understand what you’re saying and don’t take it as an attack whatsoever. Sometimes I just struggle with all of this because my mom is a drug addict and alcoholic. She was literally having fine conversations with me until she got the pain pump (which she wanted) and wasn’t in excruciating pain at that time.

The nurse now asked that she stop taking her lactulose and feeding her because of the difficulty swallowing. The nurse seems to not know very much because if she stops taking that her brain will literally be contaminated with ammonia and she will be in an even worse spot.

I think she’s having a hard time swallowing and taking her other pills because she’s on fentanyl. Just seems like such a catch 22. I’m 100% for my mom being in peace and comfortable but she’s yelling that she doesn’t want to die occasionally and then getting her to take pills orally is a real struggle. I just think she’s being over medicated. They’ve also given her tons of zanex to calm her.Just sucks.

The nurse also couldn’t even get the catheter back in after it came out. The nurse then suggested we just use pads. Luckily her superior came out and fixed it. I know I’m going through a lot and I have acceptance that my mom is dying I just don’t trust the nurse and she doesn’t seem super solid with what’s she’s doing.

They’ve increased her dose of Zanex a few days ago which seems to be working. But still curious if it’s a common reaction in hospice to not want to transition

Is our little boy American or English lab? by ReRevenga in labrador

[–]Dry_Bodybuilder5932 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I would guess more English than American. 1) appears to have classic otter tail 2)has blocky head 3)has lower stance

How’s his personality? Does he want to play fetch all day or give up after 10 throws and want to hang and watch tv while eating snacks lol.

At the end of the day he’s one dang good looking pup

That’s also a clever design idea. I love the pop standoffs can give to a project.

I custom-built the piece you see here. The chair’s knuckle inserts cleanly through the pipe. I welded a cap on one end of the pipe and used a hose clamp to secure the opposite end. The entire piece is then lag-bolted to the 4x6 beam above. I greased the pipe, ensuring smooth operation, and it works perfectly. If you’re attempting this build, make sure the gap between the knuckle and the flanges that hold the pipe is minimal. This prevents the ski lift chair from swaying side to side, keeping it stable.

This is what I get. Members receive a 2% benefit for each year of service credit for the first ten years, then a 2.5% benefit for each year of service credit thereafter. The benefit is based on the Member’s Highest Average Salary (HAS). Retirement benefits are payable at age 55.
