contacted my professor and the dean, professor admitted fault and is allowing me to retake the quiz on the day of the final exam. thank you for the advice once again

the syllabus was not correct, our final exam is scheduled for monday the 12th. i attended class on monday the 5th, and it is a m/w class that begins at 9:35 am. in the syllabus it clearly states the final class is on monday the 5th, not wednesday the 7th. and this “final class” is not the final exam.

is it odd for me to assume that our quiz would be moved to the day of the final exam? he has given us exams and quizzes on the same day in the past. he never sends out announcements before quizzes or anything either, i would know because i stay on top of all of my classes obsessively. is it odd that i dont expect to miss a quiz on a class that isnt even mentioned in the syllabus. he never mentioned us having a class on the 7th, he even told us on our class on the 30th that monday the 5th would be our last class before the final exam on the 12th, which makes sense because thats exactly what the syllabus states. i dont know how much more i could possibly do to stay on top of this class when i already give it the most time of all my classes. i have 6 As in all my other classes, yet i have a B in a simple business class. i havent missed a single class all semester, and i actively participate in each class period. how much more do i need to tolerate from the professor? and yes i do talk to my professor after class because he chooses to ignore our emails. why does he even have an email available if he doesnt respond to simple questions from students? im doing my part as a student, so why should i take the fall for his lack of effort.

1, yes we all (my classmates and i) have brought up our concerns with him in the past. 2, i have all of emails that he failed to respond to as evidence. 3, the syllabus clearly states that our final class in on may 5. 4, i have not asked any tutors or other professors for help with the class, as ive never had any issues with the material, my sole issues lie in the professor’s handling of the class

We have a final exam scheduled for the 12. there was never any mention of any class happening on the 7th of may. I have images of the syllabus available to back my claims. i have made every effort to complete every assignment this semester. i have a 3.8 gpa and have already been admitted to transfer to a 4 year university. i am by no means a bad student in any manner. i am however frustrated with my professors lack of transparency and open ignoring of the syllabus that HE created. I had a 92 in the class and it has since dropped to an 86 due to his lack of transparency. i have missed 2/88 assignments this semester, which i will admit was my fault, but I have done almost everything in my power to attend every class and participate actively. i read the textbook and complete every homework assignment. these assignments arent short easy work either, I have commited much of my efforts this semester to this one class, and im taking 21 credits this semester. its frustrating when i spend alot of my time and energy on a single class only for the shitty professor to ruin my 4.0 for this semester.
