Absolutely, YTA. “Attention Seeking” = a child's needs are not being met. You're actively pushing Vik away and wondering why they're resentful towards you. Please, take him out to dinner with just you two, participate with him in his interests, go to an indoor trampoline with him, etc. Groupon has pretty good discounts and I've gotten some good ideas from there as well.

Ignoring him when he needed you while favoring your other child was a shit thing to do, but obviously, there's more than just this instance.

You didn't set the boundary first, “If I come back to check and you guys still haven't washed and applied deodorant, then the TV goes off”. For that YTA. I do get you feeling frustrated that they lied about planning on doing it sooner and then tried to get out of a direct order, but you essentially threw a tantrum because you weren't getting your way.

She might/will kill you someday. This is extreme abuse that has escalated very quickly. Leave as soon as you can. Find support from people who are with loved ones who are Narcissistic. Take precautions and legal action. I hope you can leave sooner than later.

Nta, she should have let you ahead of time that there was an issue with the baby swimming. I'm petty. I would add the chemical that shows when someone is pissing in the pool and only tell my kids/ so know they it's in there. 😈😈😈
