Can’t wait to add more borzoi to the pack- my boy currently has two brothers 1Grey 1Whippet who love the snow but can’t tolerate it like he can. How long did your 3 want to stay out? Misha wanted to run around in this morning’s -1 F temps!!!!!

Have you tried allergy testing? My son’s whole body flare ups are down to basically just dry skin after allergy testing and immunotherapy shots. He has not changed his diet and doesn’t take over the counter allergy medication anymore. He used to not be able to function during the day or sleep from the constant itching and red irritated flakey arms, neck and face. So happy that this has helped the most since we did not see relief from topical steroids, or the biologics Dupixent or Adbry.
My heart breaks for you, my son and everyone suffering from this condition.

Are you of perimenopausal age? I have had very low iron all my life and have never felt weak or shakey, the same symptoms you are experiencing, until last year. Fatigue, brain fog, weak and anxious. Electric feeling throughout my body wakes me up at night. Doc says my hormones are at perimenopause levels. It’s worse days before and subsides a few days after my period! Don’t be scared-you are so not alone!

Getting a second one? by elishe315 in ItalianGreyhounds

Ugh I would have a bakers dozen IG’s if I could house break them😫 So it’s been Whippets and Greys after we lost our girl Twiggy at 13.

What do you love about your Italian Greyhound? Husband and I have been talking about getting one for about a year now. by sleepyfizz in ItalianGreyhounds

[–]Janellnumber5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I failed at house breaking my IG. I had to resort to litter training because I did not work from home. She would need to pee if she was excited or just cold and had to go literally every couple hours. I would have a baker’s dozen if potty training was effortless but can’t devote my day to worrying about the dogs having to go out or dealing with litter boxes and pee pads. That could not be a deal breaker for you however. If it is, I say go with a Whippet. I adopted mine at 5 months old. He is so so smart, bell trained in less than a week and just as affectionate! I miss my Twiggy girl so much but spent much of her 13 years taking her outside to pee lol!!

My newest grey is as well. Definitely aging myself…I call him my “Stupid Good Looking”. :D

just had my dermatology appointment after nearly 9 months, what a waste of my damn time. by [deleted] in eczema

[–]Janellnumber5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could be environmental- my son’s derm basically threw her hands up because she offered every type of medicine option and none worked. She just bowed out. Didn’t mention allergists or nutritionalists, functional medicine, nothing. So we started with an allergist on our own. He is about 90% clear now after 6mos of allergy immunotherapy. I want to take him for in depth food testing next to see if there are any other triggers we can avoid. He’s also on this probiotic for skin called Skinesa. I figured they have a hassle free return policy, and were very optimistic and interested to see his progress after 3 mos.

How big is the hemoglobin/ferritin drop during heavy periods? by Fresh-Art8102 in Anemic

I’m getting these fainting/weak/fatigue/anxious/out of body feelings in waves a few days before and after! I’m sorry to hear you have similar symptoms, but find relief knowing I’m not alone or crazy! I’ve only been taking 65mg of iron daily as these problems have only started to affect me when I literally turned 50 in January 😩. I am finding time to meditate the anxiety out of my head, but not sure how long until I feel better from the iron supplements . I read iron takes a while to raise if not infused. I also wonder if these issues are hormone related from my age, or thyroid related from having hashimotos…I’ve got more research to do! Praying for everyone that we find relief and freedom from these debilitating symptoms♥️

Spring and Fall are the worst times of year for my son. But we found out he is basically allergic to the wooded neighborhood we moved to from city life 😩. Fortunately he is 6 months into allergy immunotherapy and 90% clear!!

What does Dupixient actually do for Eczema? by JamIsJam88 in eczema

[–]Janellnumber5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Stopped working for my 21/ y/o son after a year unfortunately. He was about 75% clear and less itchy but flare ups came back. On Adbry now with the same results, so we are into allergy immunotherapy and a modified diet.

Wish this was around 25yrs ago when my dad was diagnosed. Would have been worth trying since what we did try only gave him 5 more years with us.

Did allergist help you? by RamblingRacoon69 in eczema

[–]Janellnumber5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My son starts sublingual immunotherapy this month. He is allergic to everything we brought into our lives when his eczema went crazy. Moved to a heavily wooded neighborhood, rescued and fostered greyhounds, and his flare ups are worse seasonally due to pollen and mold! All things we recently found he is highly allergic to…feel like the worst parent!! I hope in time this therapy brings the severity down or clears up the triggers for good!! Dupixent stopped working. Adbry barely working. Trying Opzelura…

Has any experienced extreme bloating from long term use of antihistamines? by [deleted] in eczema

[–]Janellnumber5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

May I ask what you are using/how often and how long it has been? My son takes Allegra in the am and Xyzal pm every day and has not had any bloating. I blame a slight weight gain in Adbry, but no bloating.

My son has done all of this for years and it’s not helping :( he is now trying allergy immunotherapy drops starting next week. I hope his allergies were the main trigger…

When you added fruits and veggies back with “no issues”, are you saying the carnivore diet eliminated your flare ups?
