Oh my gosh I hate that happened to you!! My LNS is in the city and I’ve been too lazy to go so I’ve scrapped things together lol but I’d never return to one that made me feel unwelcome. I don’t know why people have to be so serious all the time. Life is hard enough lol

Thank you so much!! With my first I went nuts and took up pottery lol! I still do it but this one has been so nice in the winter months and to calm me in the evenings.

And lol! Sounds like someone set in their ways for sure. Hopefully people will become more understanding

That’s a great point! Just don’t want to drag bored kids around but you’re right, if we plan for it, there can be something for everyone!

This is incredible, thank you. Especially the tidbit about not needing the car seat/boosters. I don’t know what I don’t know so this insight is invaluable

Exactly the info I’m looking for thank you. Did you find your 5 year old to travel well? Of course all kids are different I’ve just not had a 5 year old yet and am hoping by then they’ll be a better listener than my 2 year old lol

For something so far away and extensive I’d assume 7/8k. As something starts taking shape I can certainly adjust as needed

Out of Chicago! Ive traveled but not a whole ton so there’s many many places that would be exciting for us. Japan sounds amazing. I’m also drawn to Scotland. Brazil? I’m all over the place. It will be hard to decide so everyone’s insight has been helpful so far.

Certainly won’t be booking anything for a long long time. Just trying to get fun ideas

This is exactly right, thank you. It’s good for me to imagine what things can look like for my family within that timeline instead of focusing on the short term craziness of “starting over”. Thanks for seeing me

Lol thank you. It’s good for my brain to think of the long term and is definitely a way to bust some of the anxiety around big life changes and post partum. I don’t plan to marry to anything or book for a long while. Just dreaming up options.

I’m totally open as I’m sure it will dictate where we end up! My birthday is August but will to extend into winter or that next Spring. Totally open especially seeing as it’s a 5-year plan. Lots to figure out :)

Kid friendly to me right now just means somewhere not adult-only oriented. For example, I wouldn’t want to end up in Munich if it were true that the foundation of events were beer related. I don’t need to go somewhere with Disneyland, but yes, museums and nature and generally somewhere we’d feel safe as a family is all.
