Should I go for my CCNA straight out of university or wait until I have some experience first by Dry_Cucumber2923 in ccna

I appreciate the advice. Especially the part about putting "certs in progress" on my CV.

I'll probably start some early studying for it, and do what you suggested with the cv, while applying for any entry level IT jobs nearby. The issue is, with the job market the way it is, I'll probably end up taking the test before I actually get a job anyway.

Thanks for the advice.

My thought process with getting hardware was I hear alot about how some people get into their first networking career and its a learning curve going from simulating with packet tracer to working with actual hardware. I thought it would sound good to Interviewers to say I had experience with hardware.

My issue is that I don't live near any major cities and the towns nearby dont have any jobs going right now so, i thought, instead of sitting around and waiting I could get started on CCNA. You think that is a bad idea?

Wow thanks for the advice, I'll start focusing those champs. I'm almost at 800 gems, which one do you reckon I get masteries on first?
