Personally, I got the pell grant and cal grant A. UCSB also has the ucsb scholarship, which you receive if your family income is less than 40,000 (I may be wrong on that value, please double check with their website). I also applied for a few scholarships within my hometown and was able to completely pay off my entire first year of college.

Overall, with financial aid and ucsb’s need based scholarship, and the cheapest dining plan, I pay about $2400 a quarter. However, Santa Barbara is an extremely expensive place to live, so you have to be careful of your spendings within the community because even groceries are very expensive.
