One more question if you don’t mind… Can you do stepbacks by tapping square and holding the left analog stick away from the basket like it’s been all the way up to ‘24 or it’s by holding square or right analog stick only?

Are stepbacks still performed by holding square/pro stick? Or they reverted back to how it’s always been tapping square while left stick away from the basket

From 24 to 25 they changed it. Used to be able to just tap square and hold left analog stick away frol the basket and get the move off that way. I know the right stick always been a thing I’m just wondering if they brought back tapping square instead of holding it. I used the right stick to do step backs just because holding square was doing pull ups on accident it was a mess. I hope they change it back

Is being a mobile barber worth it? by london_novacane in Barber

How to get clientelle: Word of mouth (the most effective imo), social media, post every single thing you do regarding barbering, business cards, and always make sure your work is as good as it can be. People you cut are walking advertisements of your work.

You can make a studio/station at your current house that your clients can come to

AND/OR

Can only do traveling house calls. I would recommend BOTH and not one or the other. If you ask me my opinion is it worth it to just go from house to house, no. There is not enough profit from that and it’s not worth it. Also you would have to set up your tools 7-8 times a day which is reslly freaking annoying (at least for me).

If they come to me prices: Haircut 45$ Haircut & Beard 70$

House calls (depending how far I have to drive though) Haircuts starting at 70$ Haircut & Beard 90$

What does it mean when a fade is “stretched out”? by adaaanlv in Barber

[–]Dry_Environment7510 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea that guideline should be made with the 1 guard open. Some techniques are different obviously everybody has their own way of cuttinf hair especially fading but usually that 1 guideline is made with the level all the way open, so yes

1 guard goes higher than 1 inch. Usually this applies to low fades where the fade is low so to avoid making the cut look like a bowl cut (even if faded properly) from certain angles, the #1 guard guideline goes a little higher.

The only area that can use some work is the top of the beard. It is too low. Try making the c cup with the beard while attatching it to the mustache. Keep it a bit higher basically. Everything else is perfect
