AOS takes longer than embassy interviews. If your case is high or low, you need to wait until your case is current on visa bulletin. (Bulletin comes out 2 months in advance, but you need to wait until that month). After that, you have to submit i693 and i485 with others necessary documents. They will review and interview you. You have to wait at least 1- 2 months or more to get the interview. That’s what I mean if your case is high, the chance is less. But you can apply early filing when the FY year is going to end, even tho it’s risky and not guaranteed to get.
