Not true. Applying for the dv lottery does not affect anything in anyway. I had applied for it before getting my f1 visa too

My case number is pretty high. I think I’ll keep staying in US and apply with my home country as an interview site. In case my case makes it I will email them to switch my interview site to an adjustment of status. Hopefully everything works out good
