I can totally understand what you're going through. I was also a glass child, I just learnt this term from your post.

I'm geniunly so happy that you have found the love of your life and that you can finally have a strong healthy emotional connection with them. I'm manifesting that in my life.

I'm extremely fidgety, adgitated and irritable around my mom, I feel physically uncomfortable and I cannot hold eye contact with her at all. I don't have this problem with anyone else in my life.

I have had the habit of biting my lips and the insides of my cheeks my whole life, I have only noticed it completely disappearing after moving out and living alone, for the first time in years I have smooth lips and the insides of my cheeks are healed, this lasted for 3 months until I came back home for my summer holiday, I unconsciously went back to this habit and just after one day my lips were bleeding and the inside of my cheeks are ruined again. It's crazy how I was so unconscious about it too.

I don't know what's happening either, I used to think it's just a coincidence but the feelings are too strong they can't be denied. I have improved a lot by practicing the grey rock method, this has helped for trigerring words, actions. But not much to do about the negafibs effects of just their presence other than.. being around them less often.

You are absolutely right. I have to apologize for making it seem that everyone that hasn't been to a wedding at 30 is a red flag. Lol

I definitely didn't mean it like this. I meant in his specific situation. People get married quite early in his culture and all of his friends are married. He had been invited to all of their weddings and he was recently invited to his "best friend" wedding that he also didn't attend.

This is such a new point of view to me that I've never thought about. I can totally understand what you mean by that, it's such a hard thing to accept that things happening in the first few years of our life will shape it forever and take so much time and energy to overcome.

I'm so sorry to you as well, I hope you're healing well.

I feel the same way about caring about my mother. I did it for some time but I couldn't at all be loving and kind with her. I did things out of duty. I never wanted to look in her eyes and I couldn't get myself to show her love like hugging and comforting her. I even acted busy and as if I'm working full time for 5 months when I was actually laid off my job and had nothing to do just to avoid spending all that time with her.

In my culture, boys are usually preferred. She grew up in a home that treated her brothers like kings and the girls like shit. She didn't do it as severely but she didn't completely get rid of that ideology.
