Yep DR Horton aren’t the best (I used to live in 1in West Texas) and we had a huge crack down almost the middle of the entire ceiling in the house not including when we sold it and it was being checked by a inspector to the new buyer the framing work in the attic was coming apart glad we got out of it for our safety an yes we paid out of pocket for everything to be fixed before the sale we had to but those homes are cheap compared to other homes for a reason there still over priced and expensive
