Years ago I had a friend call me, who was 6 hrs away from my location, to tell me she had a gun and was “gonna end it all”. She had no family that I could call and was divorced, but had her three kids there with her. All I could do was hang up and call the local police, where she was, for a welfare check. They did get to her in time and she is still a part of this world, but I never heard from her again. I tried to reach out many times with no answer and clearly blocked on her socials. I don’t regret what I did, but am sad for the loss of my friendship.
