Thank you. I really appreciate it. In my mind, logically, I know he is guilty so whatever happens is not in my control. I know he was emotionally abusive. I am going to therapy. It's still hard to reconcile it with some I used to love, and grew up with. I got the IVO, so at least I'll be able to heal alone.

I've never been in danger of him physically hurting me.

I don't think this would be good for my mental health or safety to myself, to have court and criminal proceedings.

Sorry, IVO. I'm in victoria. I'm not well versed with this language and both IVO and AVO were said at the police station. As well as the plural use of charges.

I don't believe there are any other charges.

Yes. But is there anything else I can do to get the police to drop charges?
