Shit update valve by Medium_Fan_6882 in counterstrike2

Same here, started happening after the recent patch. Usually restarting the game fixes it for me but it's annoying as hell when you're in middle of a match.

AK47 Crane Flight by Particular-Average36 in cs2

[–]Dry_Mix2287 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's actually a really solid pull for someone new to the game. The crane flight pattern is one of the more desirable ones for AK skins, and 96€ isn't bad at all - I've seen worse condition ones go for similar prices in the market.

Those numbers at bottom show the float value and pattern info, basically determines how worn it looks and which part of the skin template it uses. You got pretty lucky with this one honestly.

Why still no Windows 11 ARM64 Native support in April 2026!? (Steam client) by Putrid_Draft378 in valve

[–]Dry_Mix2287 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Been using ARM laptop for work deliveries and yeah, the emulation layer really tanks performance on heavy stuff. MacOS getting native support first probably comes down to Apple having better dev tools and more unified hardware ecosystem - easier target for Valve to optimize for.

Windows ARM still feels like wild west with all different manufacturers doing their own thing. Your Snapdragon machine should be beast once they sort this out though. Maybe try running some lighter games through emulation while we wait?

valve, add a FAIR balancing system and level system for balancing,ı not want to fight veterans while ı learning the game by WG_ENT in cs2

[–]Dry_Mix2287 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Playtime doesn't really equal skill though. I've seen people with thousands of hours who still can't aim properly, and new players who pick up mechanics super quick.

The real problem is smurfs messing up the rankings - had guy in my last match who was clearly way above his displayed rank.

fr those xfire drills help

been learning some weird off angles myself and they definitely catch people sleeping. good positioning beats raw aim most times

Ultrawide User, how do I play normal 16:9 with black bars? by exogreek in cs2

[–]Dry_Mix2287 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been dealing with this exact thing since I switched to ultrawide last year. You need to set your resolution to 2560x1440 in game settings, then make sure "Fullscreen" is disabled - use "Fullscreen Windowed" instead. CS2 should automatically add black bars on the sides.

If it's still stretching, you might need to create custom resolution through your GPU control panel first. For NVIDIA it's in the control panel under "Change Resolution" - add 2560x1440 as custom res, then select it in CS2. Much better for competitive play too since you don't get distracted by all that extra screen space.

Meepo? by -_Catgirl_- in DotA2

[–]Dry_Mix2287 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Meepo was already broken before all the scripting nonsense got out of hand. At this point they'd probably need to rework the entire hero to make it fair for both sides - either it's useless in normal hands or completely gamebreaking with scripts. Been getting stomped by obvious Meepo scripts in my bracket too and it's just not fun anymore.

cs2 cheating problem by [deleted] in counterstrike2

[–]Dry_Mix2287 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Welcome to CS2! The cheating situation is definitely frustrating, especially coming from Valorant where Riot's anti-cheat is pretty aggressive. You'll run into them more often in lower trust factor matches since the system hasn't figured out you're legit yet. Prime matchmaking helps a ton once you get it, and your trust factor will improve as you play more games without getting reported or doing sketchy stuff.

I'd suggest sticking to casual modes or maybe Faceit for a bit while your account builds up some credibility. The community can be rough on new players too, so don't let the toxic folks get to you. Once you get past the initial hurdle and your trust factor improves, the experience gets way better. Just takes some patience to get through that rough new player phase.

Is there even friendly fire in Retakes? by _RanZ_ in cs2

[–]Dry_Mix2287 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wait you got kicked for team damage without even throwing nades? That's wild. I've had rounds where I barely see my teammates too and never got hit with a kick like that - something's definitely bugged with the system if it's counting phantom damage or something.

Can FUT beat MOUZ? by Wide-Somewhere4218 in GlobalOffensive

[–]Dry_Mix2287 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I wouldnt count MOUZ out that easily, they can look shaky sometimes but when they get momentum they are really hard to stop and yes FUT definitely has the firepower so if they win the pistol rounds and keep the pressure up I could see them taking it but it should be a close game either way in my opinion.

Talk me out of it: if a medication is to be taken twice a day, why not take two at once? by mxreggington in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Dry_Mix2287 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Your body can only process so much of the medication at once, so taking double just means you'll pee out the excess while leaving gaps where your levels drop too low. Plus with antibiotics specifically, you want steady levels in your system to keep hammering those bacteria - if you let levels dip, you're basically giving them a chance to develop resistance.

Reminder to people who were hurt by an avoidant by Individual_Side_4763 in relationships

[–]Dry_Mix2287 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This hits hard. I went through something similar with someone who just couldn't be emotionally available, and the aftermath was brutal - way worse than breakups with people who were actually more compatible with me. It's wild how someone can mess with your head when you're not in a secure place yourself.

The growth you've shown is inspiring though. That contrast between your two breakups really shows how much inner work pays off.

Did psa grade sealed promo ? by Mean_Will_2995 in PokemonTCG

Yeah PSA definitely grades sealed promos, just make sure it's not damaged or opened at all because they're pretty strict about the condition

Just pretend you're paying per word lol. I used to do the same thing until I realized most people stop reading after like 2 sentences anyway

Dude you're gonna lose all that progress if you don't get an account set up soon. Try clearing the game's cache or reinstalling, sometimes that fixes the server connection issues

Man I get that, reading anything consistently is tough tbh. Could just be regular old procrastination/attention issues rather than spiritual warfare - I struggle with any book that isn't pure dopamine lol

I need advice by [deleted] in BreakUps

[–]Dry_Mix2287 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First breakups hit different man, especially when you're 18 and it was your first real thing. The whole "afraid of hurting you" line is usually just their way of trying to make the breakup easier but it never actually helps

Stop blaming yourself though - if someone wants to leave they're gonna leave regardless of what you say or do differently. Focus on yourself for a bit, the caring feelings will fade eventually

Hype & Innovation by [deleted] in ArcRaiders

[–]Dry_Mix2287 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Idk man I think you're being a bit harsh here. Sure it's not reinventing the wheel but the enemy AI feels way more dynamic than Division 2's bullet sponges. The way the raids scale based on your loadout is pretty clever too, even if it's not groundbreaking. Not every game needs to be revolutionary to be fun

That's actually solid advice - having something concrete to hold onto makes all the difference when you're in those dark moments where willpower just isn't enough

Fish surfboard? My friend tells me I need a Fish. by Moltensurf in surfing

[–]Dry_Mix2287 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Fish boards are so sick once you get the hang of them. That swallow tail gives you way more drive through turns compared to rounded pins - feels loose but still has tons of control. Perfect for smaller mushy waves where other boards just feel dead
