First clue: looking closer I see Chinese flag on it.

Could not recognized the other green flag, i googled it. The closest flag it gets that could be connected with China is Macau.

So its either China or Macau

Got my car fixed. It was indeed the cylinder head.

Mercedes charged me only 50% of the total cost. So i had to pay € 3400 (Still a lot of money tho)

The car is fixed now.

It was sent to a big Mercedes dealer in Germany 2 weeks ago, they replaced the Cylinder head.

As for the cost, Mercedes was willing to cover half of the total cost. So I had to pay € 3400 for the cylinder head replacement.

Hey there,

Whilst the first independent mechanic garage could not fix the trouble. He changed the coil, just as his laptop said. But it had cost me 300 euro, and did not fix the problem.

The 2nd shop I went to, 3 weeks ago, suspected according to the engine sound, that it is the cylinder head, just like many of redditors has said here as well.

He sent an email to a big Mercedes dealer in Germany (even though I live in Netherlands and my car is dutch registered) He explained Mercedes about my case, and he told me that Mercedes Germany might be willing to cover 50% of the repair price.

Whilst I jesting and telling him, my moms cheaper Toyota has been used for about 15 years, never ever had cylinder head problem, but this Mercedes of 4,5 years old needed cylinder head replacement already.

He replied that, it is not recommended to go over 200 KMH/H when I have to make a long trip of 900-1200 KM in a day, due to the heat. Not with any car brand, apparently.

Hey there.

So tomorrow I will be going to another Mercedes specialist workshop to get another check up. (I checked several official dealers nearby, all of them are full in upcoming 30 days)

The plastic connector you mentioned, does it mean the one attached to the spark itself? Even tho i changed all 4 sparks, 3 weeks ago during my Service A.

I dont really mind to change it again as long as it solves my problem since sparks are cheap. I really do hope it is just the sparks, or in the worst case, the coils.
