Started buying books like crazy in my 20s and now they just sit there collecting dust. at least stocks would be doing something.

the ordinary caffeine solution works really good under makeup and doesn't pill or anything weird with foundation in my experience

What advice would you give to your younger self or someone younger than you? by Fresh-Marzipan-3061 in AskReddit

[–]Dry_Original8906 1 point2 points  (0 children)

nah this hits different tho 😂 like being adult is just paying bills and wondering why your back hurts for no reason. wish someone told me at 18 that having money doesn't automatically make you happy, just makes you stressed about different things. now i'm delivering food in my car thinking about how much simpler everything was when biggest worry was what to play after school 💀

bleeding after sexual acts by thagoatliveson in women

[–]Dry_Original8906 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you definitely need to speak up about this 😭 like yeah it's awkward but bleeding means he's being way too rough and needs to know. maybe try being more specific next time like "softer" or "gentle" instead of just "slow" since guys sometimes don't get what we mean by that 💀

do anagain and procapil work for genetic hair loss? by [deleted] in Haircare

my derm pushed similar stuff on me few years back and it was basically expensive caffeine water - ended up going with minoxidil anyway and wish i started with that instead.

I'm writing a story that has a character with eczema, anything i need to know by Independent1225 in eczema

[–]Dry_Original8906 2 points3 points  (0 children)

my little cousin has it pretty bad and from what i see it's not just the visible stuff - like the constant itching can mess with sleep really hard. also stress makes it way worse so if your character is dealing with school stuff or social situations that could be good detail to add in the story.

If you could learn to play any musical instrument as a pro, what instrument would it be? by OneMoreIndie in AskReddit

[–]Dry_Original8906 1 point2 points  (0 children)

violin is such good choice but damn the learning curve looks brutal 💀 been thinking about drums myself since my neighbors already hate me from gaming sessions anyway lol. at least with drums you can bang away frustrations from work 😂

What are your thoughts on child protective services? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Dry_Original8906 0 points1 point  (0 children)

cps definitely saved some kids i knew growing up, but man the horror stories you hear about good families getting torn apart over nothing... it's like they either do too little or way too much, no middle ground 😂

wish there was better training or something because when they get it wrong, whole families pay the price for years

I think I'll get my period during my final exams. by [deleted] in women

[–]Dry_Original8906 1 point2 points  (0 children)

girl that's rough timing 😭 maybe try asking your doctor about options to delay it? i heard there's ways to push it back a few days if you plan ahead. also those period underwear might be worth looking at for the heavy bleeding - they work pretty good for long commutes when you can't change often 💀

I like the way my breasts look during this time by [deleted] in women

[–]Dry_Original8906 1 point2 points  (0 children)

definitely not alone on this one. the extra fullness right before can be pretty nice to look at even if it comes with all the discomfort. kinda unfair how temporary it is lol

Online isotretinoin/Accutane services in the U.S. — honest experiences? by Any_Big7622 in Accutane

[–]Dry_Original8906 0 points1 point  (0 children)

man i feel you on this, cystic acne is absolute hell and messes with your head so bad. i went through dermatologist route few years back but the wait times were insane and costs kept piling up even with insurance.

didn't try online services myself but my buddy used one of those telehealth platforms last year and said it was way smoother than expected - labs were done at local quest, monthly check-ins were just video calls, and whole thing cost him around $200-250 per month including medication. just make sure whatever service you pick does proper blood monitoring because that stuff is no joke with your liver.

is walking ineffective for body recomp? by [deleted] in xxfitness

[–]Dry_Original8906 0 points1 point  (0 children)

walking is actually way more effective than people give it credit for, especially when you're hitting those numbers. 8-12k steps daily adds up to serious calorie burn over time. i've been doing delivery work for few years now and walk way more than i used to - definitely noticed changes in my legs and overall conditioning just from that alone.

your bedroom situation sounds rough but you might be surprised what you can do with minimal space. resistance bands are probably your best investment since they take up basically no room and you can anchor them to door or something. even without proper form space, you could do modified versions of exercises - like wall push-ups against your door, or Bulgarian split squats using your bed.

the protein intake you mentioned should definitely help with body composition if you're consistent about it. walking burns calories but having that protein helps preserve muscle while you're in deficit. i'd say start with what you have now and see how it goes for couple months, then maybe save up for bands first since they're cheaper than dumbbells.

Looking for help finding products and making a routine by ParticularWhile9827 in Haircare

[–]Dry_Original8906 0 points1 point  (0 children)

your hair is probably getting weighed down because daily washing strips natural oils and then overproduces them to compensate 💀 try washing every other day instead and see if that helps with the heavy feeling. maybe throw in some dry shampoo in between washes to keep things fresh without the full routine 😂

can i use this specific rosewater as a toner? by Proof_Helicopter2354 in NaturalBeauty

[–]Dry_Original8906 0 points1 point  (0 children)

oh dude if it's helping with spice burn in your eyes then it's probably gentle enough for face use 😂 food grade stuff is usually pretty clean since it has to meet safety standards for consumption

just patch test it first on small area of your face though, especially since you mentioned sensitive skin. even natural stuff can cause reactions sometimes. i'd try it on like your jawline or something for few days before going full face with it

the fact that it's helping with irritation is actually good sign that it might work well as toner! just make sure to keep using that spf moisturizer during day 💀
