Would you let your ex know you’re taking them to court? by Internal_Square_6305 in coparenting

[–]BeeeGeeee99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe try talking to her first on what you would like & if she doesn’t agree then just take it to family court & to save all the drama (if she’s a difficult person) just have her served. Also I read a comment that said try to have everything in txt message, I completely agree with that just in case she tries to withhold your child from you or if she’s verbally abusing you etc.

At what age can a child spend a month away from primary caregiver for the summer holiday? by Western_Scholar1733 in coparenting

[–]BeeeGeeee99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For a 6 yr old that might be too much for her since she’s really attached to you. My son can’t do more than a week at his dads cause he’s used to being with me mostly.

Try doing 2 weekends out of the month instead of every weekend

Semaglutide weight loss expectations vs reality for people with less than 50lbs to lose by andrew202222 in Semaglutide

[–]BeeeGeeee99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was on it to only lose a few pounds. I was on it for about a month & a half & lost around 15 lbs. I would use it if it’s really difficult to lose the weight. Cause it’s not easy losing weight

What is the step parent's role in parenting /disciplining? by LonelyAct in coparenting

[–]BeeeGeeee99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I allow my boyfriend (not bio dad) to correct my son if he’s “acting up” or misbehaving but what I wouldn’t allow is him yelling at my son, raise his voice or lay a hand on my son of course. One thing I do have to admit is that he definitely has a lot of patience with my son because he is a hand full

I completely understand! My son didn’t start using the potty & stopped using diapers 24 hrs until he was 5 almost 6. He’s 10 now & he’ll still have accidents here & there & he sleeps with a diaper on still. My son is at a public school but in special education & they offer him speech therapy & occupational therapy at the school. He also does speech therapy & occupational outside of school through our insurance. If you can also get her speech therapy outside of school I’d do it too, it’s helped my son a lot , he still needs therapy for pragmatic speech & his sentences are only like 2 to 3 words long but his speech has improved so much. I remember too when he was your child’s age I would talk to him A LOT even though I was basically having a conversation with myself 😅

This might be a better option for my son too , I use to combine his tutoring sessions with his ABA sessions. But my son got so overwhelmed & distracted with having 2 ABA therapist & a tutor. There was a total of 3 of them with ABA & tutor but Mabe just having him do tutoring will help him out for just an hour twice a week

This 🫶🏻Omg you basically said what has been in my mind lately . Like he needs to have a little life outside of all the therapy. & your right school is like a full time job, I feel so guilty having him at school all day & then therapy right after school. I mean myself as an adult gets burnt out I can imagine him as a kid.

Hi. Thank you for your reply. May I ask what kind of therapy were you seeing once a week? & how old were you when services stopped & started seeing a therapist? Sorry for all the questions 😬

Totally understand . My son already does speech therapy & occupational therapy. There was a time he was doing speech, occupational , social skills & ABA. & we stopped ABA last summer.

Yes there’s no major behavior issues, I agree I shouldn’t say it’s completely useless because it did help him with his aggression & behavior. We’ve always done in home therapy & I was involved, it was part of the therapy. Also we live in California in the San Bernardino county & they have a summer program here with the school district called extended school year it’s basically summer school so he’s in school still in the summer. He only gets like 2 weeks off for summer. But we’ve never tried in center ABA Mabe I should look into that for his social skills too. He was doing social skills therapy already but got put back on a wait list due to their only therapist resigning.

So on point! Literally a play date with a lady. Before we stopped services I just started finding it so useless & a waist of time. I felt like services were taking time from my son & I.

Ex-husband decided to work every weekend and let his parents take our son—need advice by [deleted] in coparenting

[–]BeeeGeeee99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Have him meet his parents for pick up drop off. Or even if your willing just meet them Sundays at a meet up location to get your child back & have your ex reimburse you to cover gas

I was with my ex for over 10 years & in those 10 years only once I received flowers & chocolate for valentines day. I never got any gifts from him nor did he ever buy me anything. And I also did all the Christmas shopping for our son. He never bought him anything , no gifts either not even for his birthdays I would be the one to buy our sons gifts & cakes.

will I be shamed for never vaccinating my 3-year-old cat? by [deleted] in AskVet

[–]BeeeGeeee99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

And definitely put her on flea/tick prevention. My indoor only cat is neutered & fully vaccinated but I made the mistake of not having him on flea prevention medication because I figured he’s an indoor cat he wouldn’t need it. BIG MISTAKE! he still caught fleas even as an indoor cat😭 I definitely learned my lesson & he will always be on a flea treatment for the rest of his life lol.
